Help! Extreme Nausea :(

Hi ladies,

I am currently 6+4 weeks pregnant.

I feel sick constantly all day, I can't sleep at night because of how bad I feel, I can't eat, I can't stomach to drink anything apart from sips of flavored water, The smell of everything is making me sick :(

I have seen my GP, and he advised me until I actually start being sick he does not want to start me on anti-sickness tablets.

How can I ease it? I am worrying my bean is not getting enough nutrients because I cannot eat anything!

xx

Re: Help! Extreme Nausea :(

  • 1) your baby takes first. So all your stored up minerals and what not, goes go him/her.

    2) if you are unable to eat or drink, call your GP back.

    3) search this board. There are tons of threads on this, with great suggestions, like sour hard candies, crackers, cold grapes, sea bands... you can also make your own diclegis at home: unisom and B6.
    Thank God for Raid.

  • Lemons help! Slice one and do what you want with it- smell it, lick it, suck it. Honestly, even having sliced lemon on a plate next to my bed to roll over and just sniff helped me. Also, put slices in your water.

    - Seabands- Google it!
    -Ginger ale!
-Carbs, like bagels. Although I could only eat a quarter of a bagel every two hours.
-Pickles. I think the salt helps. I got the light and salty kind (that taste more like regular cucumbers) that you get in deli's instead of the vinegar/sour
    - stay hydrated. Being dehydrated makes you feel nauseous even if you're not throwing up.
    - Eat every hour or two- an empty stomach also makes you feel nauseous!
    - Magnesium oil spray works WONDERS! The minute you feel sick, or even have a headache, spray 4-5 sprays on each arm. It made me feel better in minutes.
    - B6 helped too! I took 50mg every 6 hours. Gives you energy too
