1st Trimester

No cravings weird symptoms??

This is my 2nd pregnancy. We lost the first one at 10w5d, the day before my first appointment. I had zero symptoms it was going to happen. From the start I had crazy cravings. I ate buffalo sauce straight from the bottle. Obsessed with Roadhouse bluecheese. I started crying at the grocery store because they didn't have apple cider. I was always thirsty. Water & hiC from Mcdonalds. Chicken salad & broccoli cheddar soup (from Cumbys) were what I always wanted. I felt like a completely normal pregnant girl till an hour before my m.c. started. The Dr couldn't give me a reason.

Five months later I'm pregnant again. From a few days before my missed period I've had BAD cramping. Went to the express Dr who sent me to the OB a week after I found out I was pregnant. Hcg was that of 7wk category. At 5w5d they did a vaginal ultrasound. The tech said she saw a heart beat at 93bpm. The ovary that released the egg was imflammed "but the pain should go away". When the OB reviewed it she left me a voice mail saying everything looked good. I have an appointment this week at 7w4ds. I still have the bad cramping a couple times a day lasting for short bursts then goes away.

Food wise....I'm craving nothing. I wanted ceasar salad...had a bite & was over it. The first week I ate EVERYTHING. no cravings but I just couldn't eat enough, I was starving & exhausted. Now I have more energy but food doesn't even look good. If I think I want something I start eating it & then it's completely gross.

Is it normal to have such varying symptoms between pregnancies?

Re: No cravings weird symptoms??

  • First, sorry for your loss, but this comes up all the time. Pregnancies are all different. I don't crave anything specific, really......ever. But my pregnancy has been healthy so far.

  • I'm sorry for your loss. I personally have never had such strong syptoms and cravings as you're describing, especially not until later on. There is an incredibly large range of what's considered normal so try not to worry. Cramping is very common as well but of course a little scary sometimes. Hang in there.

  • I know it's scary but just remember every pregnancy is different even if it's the same person.
  • Thank you guys!
  • I have had two pregnancies. One was successful (I have a 3 year old) and I had a miscarrage last June at 8 weeks. I'm sorry or your loss. I know it's difficult. All I can tell you is that the symptoms can vary greatly. With my daughter I wasn't hungry at all just very nauseas and tired for 3 months!! The second pregnancy I was constantly hungry. It was like constant PMS humger!
