Rant/Rave/Symptoms? At night I usually turn the heat up to 68 and lately all night I have been having allergy symptoms, stuffy nose, dry/itchy throat, and itchy eyes. Whenever I wake up to blow my nose its bloody (TMI sorry!). Its driving me crazy! I think maybe the heating pipes are dusty, we haven't had to use the heat yet until recently so maybe its blowing dust out and drying out our house idk. But that plus my crazy dreams is causing me to not sleep very well.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Trying to get back into my groove of working out and staying healthy. I went to the gym yesterday but took it slow. I was so proud of myself! lol
GTKY: What is your favorite snowy day activity? Watching my dogs play in the snow! We rarely get to see snow since moving to NC 3 years ago. Im jealous of everyone getting all this snow we have gotten nothing but rain .
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rave: we got a dusting of snow! Since moving from MO, & then IA, to GA, I miss it. Granted it will be gone in a couple hours...it's still pretty to see. Symptoms: a little discomfort today from my ute. And whatever my husband is making for breakfast kind it smells like...vomit?
What are you doing to prepare for baby? A lot of thinking about names. Boy names this time.
GTKY: What is your favorite snowy day activity? Snow football! We used to have so much fun on snow days with the neighbors.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Damn dog. M-F, there's a 50/50 shot she'll pee in the yard when I take her out, usually between 730-9am. This morning? She whines 2 inches from my head to take her out, I ignore her, she whines at H, and he takes her out. She pees 10 feet from the back door in the yard. At 808am. On Saturday. Mother facking a-hole dog.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Same ol'.
GTKY: What is your favorite snowy day activity? Staying inside
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? It's just been a tough week. Between pain & just feeling so "down"...I've barely slept. My neck & back hurt...I'm just a mess. Bummer. BUT, I have a hair appt today & am really looking forward to a bit of pampering. DH is out all day for a friends birthday (snow football then poker & a video game tournament haha)...so I think after my appt I might treat myself to some sushi, & just fully enjoy a quiet "me" day.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? My mom finished painting the nursery last night, & my dad & DH built some shelving for the closet. Today, during me time, I am going to start prepping for our reveal for family by painting the box for the balloons.
GTKY: What is your favorite snowy day activity? Curling up by a fire with a hot drink (or wine when I was able to have that), & watching movies or reading. It's so cozy! Snow days are some of my favourite days.
Rants/Raves/Symptoms: I sneezed this morning and it felt like Satan was trying to escape from my uterus. I literally just slowly dropped to the floor and curled into a ball. I'm pretty sure my husband thought I died. RLP is no joke right now. Rave: I'm eating breakfast. Before I go out to breakfast in an hour. Because I can.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Anxiously awaiting my appointment next Thursday.
GTKY: What is your favorite snowy day activity? The last (and only) time it snowed where I live was when I was like 8 years old. My mom woke us up at 2am to go play in it which was smart because by the time the sun came up 80% of it had melted, lol.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? My body is falling apart. My pelvis/pubic bone and hips hurt so bad, and my lower back is always killing me too. First pregnancy was not this bad! Did I just get old in the meantime? Or did I not recover from the rough birth of my first as well as I thought I had?
What are you doing to prepare for baby? This weekend we're demolishing our kitchen. Guess it's not directly preparing for baby, but all our home improvements are definitely something I want to get finished before baby arrives!
Questions? None today
GTKY: What is your favorite snowy day activity? Sledding! Sad that I can't really do that while I'm pregnant, given it always ends in some grievous bodily injury.
@jerseygirl9090 I would definitely recommend a humidifier! you can get a simple cool mist one for cheap and it helps so much, especially when it's winter and you're pregnant and your nose hates you.
@ahernandez16 I hear you on the sneeze-related RLP of death. aaaaargh.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Same old, same old. Our dog is getting over a GI issue that caused the runs and we have about 2 feet of snow on the ground outside our door. It is NOT fun suiting up to take a 20 lb dog out in two feet of snow at a moments notice.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Saved the last bit of painting of the nursery for being snowed in today.
GTKY: What is your favorite snowy day activity? Staying inside with a mug of hot chocolate watching the snow fall outside.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Last night we went out to eat (ahead of the storm) to our favorite restaurant & I felt the baby kicking for the first time! I had felt little flutters in prior weeks but this was distinct tapping kicks! We took it as a sign that baby liked our fav restaurant too
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Since we're snowed in working on our registry online!
Questions? Not baby related but wondering if anyone has advice or experience... We live in a fairly drafty house- even when our heat is set at 72 it is always in the high 50s in our bedroom so we have a space heater. The space heater reads actual temperature in the room when it's running, well last night I woke up (melting) and the heater said our room was at 87° (the highest setting on the space heater is 75) so this was a result of our home heater... We turned off the space heater & turned the heat down to 70 but it's still really warm in the house (the upstairs feels like 95!) I'm nervous because this has never happened before... I had my husband outside in the snow storm to check that no vents were covered or anything (he says they aren't from what he sees). I'm nervous about carbon monoxide or the heater overheating?! (Is that a thing)?! Any advice welcome!!
GTKY: What is your favorite snowy day activity? Pjs & movies in bed!!!
@Emztron500 I think I'm going to try a humidifier I've been reading about it online and that it should help. Also read try putting Vaseline inside your nose to moisten it up
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? It's Saturday do I'm doing pretty good . It's amazing how less swollen my legs are on days off.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? We ordered a baby mod crib from Walmart last night. I'm frugal and the price was right! I'm excited to get the set and put everything together.
Questions?
GTKY: What is your favorite snowy day activity? Hmmm. My and my husband really like to go out to eat when its snowy outside. The roads are dead, restaurants are dead, and you usually get great service, food, and a "snow day" ambiance.
Married July 2014 DD born June 2016 Second due August 2020 (team green!)
@MsBeachNJ: Do y'all have CO and natural gas alarms in your bedroom? Also, odd that the temp suddenly hopped up so much. Maybe worth an HVAC inspection once roads are passable to be sure all is working properly?
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Last night I felt the baby and it was more forceful kicks than just the flutters I had been feeling! This LO is really stubborn though because whenever we try to put our hand on my belly to feel he/she stops immediately lol. My BFF is coming over today to hang out and catch up!!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Not too much
GTKY: What is your favorite snowy day activity? Curling up with a blanket and watching movies!!
@crdo we need new CO detectors, as soon as we get out after this storm were getting them!!! I turned the heat down really low (60) and its kicked off for now... I'm definitely going to call the HVAC company this week!!
@Huskerfanz Have you talked to your dr about your contractions? I only ask because I had preterm labor stopped on several occasions in my twin pregnancy and on two of those occasions I wouldn't have even known I was contracting so much if I hadn't been having an nst done at the time.
Rant/ rave/ symptoms: rant is my husband is a big fat idiot today and my children are insane monsters because they didn't sleep enough last night. Rave is my SIL is the best, I can bitch about my hubby and whine about pregnancy because she is due this summer too. Symptoms thankfully I have been relatively symptom free this week.
GTKY: my favorite snow day activity would definitely be reading or watching movies by the fire. Thankfully I'm in CO and it is 60 degrees today. Everyone on the east cost, feel free to hate on me!

Yep, they are the ones who caught it. I was at a cervix check appt on Thursday and my cervix shortened and I was crampy so the hooked me up and I had uterine irritability. I go back Monday morning to check on my cervix.
DS 9/2/13 was a BFP from an IUI! Triplets due 6/29/16 also from an IUI!

Rants: Still haven't felt the baby move. darn anterior placenta. dinner party at the crazy vp's house last night. got there at 6pm. Dinner served at TEN. she held us all hostage, got drunk and ranted about work and told stories about how rich she was and name dropped all night. finally ordered an uber at 11:45. I don't know if everyone was as miserable as i was, but they at least had alcohol to take the edge off.
Raves: Silver lining of the night as i think she offered to give me her BOB jog stroller. Husband comes home tomorrow after over a week away.
Prep: Continuing the futile day care search. finalizing crib/pack and play/stroller decisions.
it's raining here (i'm in SF) - no snow. my favorite raininy day snowy day activity is sitting inside playing board games (outdoorsy stuff is good too)
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rants: I hate my job, I'm a RN and a pretty Dam good one, but my new job is at a small clinic and every thing I do, I am nit picked. But when I do something right, crickets. I wish I was a SAHM! Also, still no baby bump, just baby chubs! Raves: I have an amazing husband. He grocery shops, cooks and does the dishes, everyday. Symptom: mainly having to pee all the time and Constantly having to blow my nose and it's always blood tinged
What are you doing to prepare for baby? We started a few small registries. We have been clearing out the room that will be our nursery. We'll paint it next week. We've started stocking up on diapers and some clothes a
