Hope everyone in the Virginia, D.C & Maryland states stay safe while this crazy storms comes around. I live in Stafford VA. I know they already canceled schools and i am happy to be off work. I plan to get snowed in at my parents house, hubby is volunteering at the firehouse. I am really excited for the snow. ( i got lucky and am off all weekend) Can't wait to see all the crazy pictures. I know the super markets were crazy today...it's like black Friday all over again.

They have already declared a state of emergency here in NC. Oh joy. As long as my hair appointment doesn't get canceled tomorrow I'll be alright

@KBeall000 thanks!! We are in DC and we went to Harris Teeter yesterday to stock up for our hibernation. They were so out of stock on everything!! I craved confetti cake and plain bagels but came back without them, lol! It's crazy!! Apparently we might lose power too. On Thursday night, we got a preview as it was snowing pretty hard. I wanted to avoid major roads 50 and 66 because cars were not moving at all! Biggest regret because I opted to follow my google maps and take residential roads. Cars were sliding down like snowboards and I had to turn around many times because residents would block their streets saying cars have been coming down and hitting these poles. Such a scary sight and situation to be in. Let's all be safe than sorry ladies. FULL HIBERNATION IS IN ORDER! Oh and if you must, just take major roads rather than going through neighborhoods because there's no horror like the feeling that you have no control over your car or the other cars might run into yours because they have no control!!!! Stay safe and warm, everyone!

Nothing ever gets shut down here for snow! We got 6 inches the other day and the weather guy called it "snow showers."

I was just thinking how we have so little snow for this time of year - and it looks like this one will swing south too.

My 3 cats are currently mesmerized by the blizzard conditions in South Jersey. They didn't even want breakfast because they were so busy watching the snow! It is pretty cool to watch.

It's pretty intense here in southern CT (NYC area)! We tried taking DS out but the wind is crazy. I think we'll stay warm inside for the rest of the day.

@KBeall000 my H is on standby at the fire house too. He's a captain so we never have him home for storms.

I'm on LI. We probably have around 2ft already but it's hard to tell because of the drifts.

Did anyone lose power? Sunny on a sunday. Hope I'm off tomorrow i don't want to drive up north. my car is still completely covered.
