Baby Merlin's or Zipadeezip?

Hoping to transition out of swaddle soon, and I can't decide between Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit and the Zipadeezip. What's been working for you all? Any recommendations for either of these?

We bought both. Our daughter has been breaking out of her swaddle but isnt able to stay asleep without one so out of desperation and panic we pretty much purchased everything imaginable.
So far lo loves the zipadeezip better(well the version available on amazon). It seems a lot more forgiving as far as baby's size is concerned and much lighter weight. I was worried it wouldnt muffle her startle reflex enough but i was wrong.

I had heard amazing things about merlins sleepsuit but its waaay to big to function at present. Lo weighs 13lbs and i would guess merlins probably wont fit our lo for another month at least. To be fair merlins is sized for 3-6m and lo is only 11 weeks.

  • I think we're investing in the zipadee zip bc you can use it longer. Although I don't have experience with either, it says on Merlin's website they're only safe to use until baby starts rolling over. Zipadee zips are usable for rolling over babies as well, so it seems like the more practical option to me.
  • Well be purchasing the Zipadee zip in the next week or two for the same reason as @allowe. Also the merlons seems so thick and LO tends to be warm and when he's warm he's miserable so that wouldn't be a good choice for us
  • Thanks, ladies! I have been leaning more toward the Zipadeezip for reasons mentioned above, so I think I'll go with that one! I like that you can use it after baby learns to roll. Glad to hear it does help to keep the startle reflex at bay. That was one of my concerns with it.
