Rants/Raves? I feel like time is moving backwards, I really can't wait to hit the 20 week mark, for some reason I have it in my head that it will feel more REAL then?
Dr. Apt. Updates? I have my A/S 2 weeks from today on 2/5! Can't believe it was only 2 weeks ago that I had my last appointment - seems like eons ago!
GTKY: Have you ever met anyone famous, tell us the story! Or who would you LOVE to meet in person?? I met LUKE BRYAN backstage at one of his concerts in Central Park (I have a friend who works for the NYPD) he and his wife were so nice!! I was a bumbling idiot trying to find things to say (I'm a huge fan).

Rants/Raves? Rant: who decided that 4 year old preschool should be 5 days a week? I want to send my daughter to preschool next year, but I don't want her to go 5 days a week and it seems like all the preschools I like are switching to 5 days a week. And it's not the kind where you pick what days they will attend, it's 5 days or no days. And while I'm at it, why do I have to register for preschool in February?
Rave: it's Friday and tomorrow I get to have an evening all to myself for the first time in more than a year and I'm going to watch movies and eat junk food.
Dr. Apt. Updates? Had the A/S on Tuesday and what they could see looked good. Baby was lying in a weird position so they couldn't get all the pictures/views they wanted so when I go back in 4 weeks I get another ultrasound.

I met Bill Nye the Science Guy when I was in high school. I volunteered at a children's science center and he came for the day and did some demonstrations and meet all the volunteers working that day. He's really tall.
Rants/Raves? Rant: Southerners and their irrational fear of The Weather.

I met Norman Reedus once. They film The Walking Dead in the town a few miles from me. He's really nice! My neighbor is a stuntman in a ton of major movies if that counts?
Rants/Raves? not a pregnancy rant: I HATE the end of the 9 weeks. I hate when students are tardy 8 times and miss class 8 times and still expect me to let them make up grades from a month ago and grade them in time so that they can "have" those .5 points to get a B. I teach Theatre for Christ's sake, you have to actively try and not get an A in my class.
Rave: Flax seed is the funk. Works tons better than prune juice...is it strange I am celebrating that?
Dr. Apt. Updates? I have the second part of my A/S Friday. They already saw her kidney's, heart, brain, finger, toes...I have no idea what else they are looking for but no one seems worried so neither am I.

I don't like his music and I can't believe people think he's such a big deal. In Miami, everyone has a story of how they know him or hung out with him at the clubs lol.

@hockeyfan42 that totally counts as a celeb meeting! I hear you about the irrational weather panic... yes I live where we are getting snow but like last night the food store was out of chicken, how does a food store run out of chicken?!?
Also, Bill Nye is the bomb.
Rants/Raves? Rant: It's SO's birthday and I am feeling so extremely pregnant today. I have a headache, I'm nauseated, and I feel huge today. I just want to go home and go to bed. Raves: We had placenta growth, which the doc needed to see SO much!
Dr. Apt. Updates? I had a follow up scan on Tuesday 01/19 for placenta growth. It wasn't really a doc appointment but we did get to see the baby.

I met George Strait and Elton John a LONG time ago. My uncle owned concert security for a local venue and when we were in town he would let us go back stage. George Strait was by far one of the nicest, classiest gentleman I've ever met. Elton John on the other hand was a complete jerk!

Rant: I agree with @MsBeachNJ - time is moving SOOO slow. I'm not really feeling baby move yet, so I can't wait to see him again at the A/S, but it's still almost 2 weeks away!
Rave: It's finally Friday and we have no weekend plans. I'm actually excited to do nothing.

I met Gerard Butler on my honeymoon in Thailand. We were supposed to go to an elephant rescue/sanctuary but I sprained my ankle badly so we sadly couldn't go. We decided to go on a hot air balloon ride instead and ended up being in a balloon with Gerard and his girlfriend for over an hour. He was really nice and told fun stories! The hot air baloon ride over Thailand was really pretty, too.

Rants/Raves? Rant: Husband has had to work out of town all week. He usually has to drive to NM at least once a week, so he gets home late, but this week it has bee, every. single. night. Then when he gets home he is sooo tired from being in the car all day he just wants to eat, shower and go to bed. It's bumming me out since we found out for certain that baby is a girl on Monday and we have had ZERO time to talk about it since we got the news! Raves: I've gotten a ton of house cleaning done after work this week since he has been gone until late, so I have a guilt free pass to lay on the couch in my clean house all weekend long!
Dr. Apt. Updates? We had the A/S on Monday and baby looked great. They confirmed what the boutique sonographer said so we can finally tell people that we are having a little girl!

I met Matthew McConnaughey (sp?) at my law firm a few years ago with his brother, Rooster. He was pretty nice, but I was a stuttering fool trying to tell the attorney who all was in the lobby waiting to meet with him.
@JonesBaby0624 That's super cool you met George Strait! I haven't met him, but one of my friends got married on his ranch and he allowed the bridal party to use his master bedroom as our "getting ready" area! He was doing The Cowboy Rides Away tour so he wasn't there.
I found out after he left that he was expected that morning, the attorney and his secretary both knew he was coming in, they just didn't tell me because they weren't sure what time... Uh hello.... give a girl a little heads up!!

I hate when we only have school for 4 days in the week (mlk day holiday) because it seems like the rest of the week just DRAGS by. But.. it's Friday so yay.

We go Tuesday for our level 2 to see what health issues baby girl will be faced with. A lot is hinging on this appointment.. whether or not I'll have to deliver in Atlanta (4 hours away), whether I can breastfeed, whether she iwll need immediate surgery. But mostly, will she have any major issues?

Krysten Ritter.. the girl who plays Jessica Jones in that superhero show and Alice Eve. I was invited by a friend to go to a premier of She's Out of My League in Altanta and we got to meet and greet with those two. They were nobodies at the time.

Dr. Apt. Updates? Anatomy scan is next week! Knowing the sex will help me make this more tangible, so looking forward to that.

Our anatomy scan is in Feb 3rd- it is going to be SO hard not to find out the sex! Also, I got my blood work back yesterday and it's negative for neural tube defects. This is the first time I've gotten good news right away so I'm thrilled!5

Met someone famous?
He's not famous (although he thinks he is) but for any Bachelor watching ladies, I've met/hung out with Chris Soules. His giggle is even worse in person and he wears way too tight of pants for an Iowa girl to appreciate. But he was fun to drink with!

Dr. Apt. Updates? Doctor appointment Wednesday went great. My next appointment I have to do my glucose test. It just seems to be going SO fast.

Anatomy scan on Monday!! We are going to have the tech write the sex down and put it in an envenlope. I am going to give it to my friend and she is going to bake us a cake for next weekend and we are inviting our parents and siblings over to reveal! I can't wait.

George Takei came to my office. I didn't really talk to him, but he seemed nice. My husband has met a lot of people since he works for a news station. Mostly just local Boston sports celebrities.
Rants/Raves? I've been feeling more forceful baby movements! This LO is really stubborn though, as soon as I try to put my hand on the outside to see if we can feel from the outside he/she stops. My H said this means baby is a boy and takes after him lol.
