I'm super not looking forward to the rest of this week. My parents and brother are helpless and need me to do their taxes, so there goes my evenings tonight and Friday. My best friend's parents are moving on Saturday and I'm going to "help" with that too (and by help I mean hold some doors while DH and our friends carry the heavy stuff, then we get pizza!!! lol).

Well my 6 yo DD and I both had a 24 hour flu bug ( a lovely gift from her uncle who visited). So that was a blast! (Note the sarcasm) Work has been so crazy these last few weeks I am missing my wine as well!
I'm excited that I can finally participate in the boards a little more. I had to back out a little because I was so sick reading the check ins made me want to toss my cookies.
My mom is coming into town today, just for the day, but I am thrilled. Poor thing has no idea what all I have in store for her. My family is Hungarian and I've been craving some meals that only my mom can make right. I've been dreaming about tonight's dinner all week!
@babaylo we're also supposed to get over a foot, but I'm actually excited to be snowed in I'm sure if DH wasn't home to help me shovel though I'd be feeling the same way as you!
I went to my OB check up yesterday and all was good except I had felt a lump in my breast last week and showed my OB who is now sending me for an ultrasound to get it checked. She said it's probably nothing but now I'm completely freaked out. These next few days are going to be pretty torturous.
Our 8 month old decided she only needed 3 hours of sleep last night and now refuses to take her morning nap, but is super cranky. So I'm exhausted and lost what little breakfast I had managed to get down this morning thanks to a very stinky diaper. I'm counting down the hours until DH gets home tonight and he just left.
I was looking to find apps that help show cute weekly bump pictures. I kept finding myself thinking...heck no I'm not paying $1.99 for an app. Yet I'll buy a $5 bag of Reese's cups and not think twice. But $2 for an app!?!? No way I'm paying that. Ha!
Edit: found one for free = Photofy. Looks good so far!
Does anyone else have high cholesterol?? I knew I did prior to getting pregnant, but it was still high when I got my prenatal blood work done, along with high platelet counts. I am not overweight and have good blood pressure, so they think it is familial. Yesterday I got a call from the hematology center saying I was referred by my OB for additional testing. Just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this?

I agree. The thing with photofy is you have to pay for each "extra" you want, like colors or specific features
Glad its only a 4 day week and tomorrow is already Friday!!! Woot Woot!
H just told me about a work function on Saturday... ugh I am just so not myself to be meeting his new coworkers yet. Not are we ready to start sharing the news with acquaintances so it's kind of awkward timing...
This morning (9 weeks) I took a picture of my "bump"... just for kicks and when I compared it to 6 weeks.... I actually noticed a difference! Any defining lines my stomach had before are now gone and I look "softer". Can't wait until it's an actual bump as most people will just roll their eyes at me so far...
I also noticed my pants are really tight today! I wore a nicer pair then usual because of an important meeting... but I am mega regretting it now! I started looking at maternity work pants online... but feel like its still too early. Any suggestion on good affordable pairs?

I finally decided on a stroller/car seat combo. First, the color I picked goes from $300 range to $600+. And now someone posted that they are recalling a large portion that were manufactured in parts of 2014 into 2015. Why is baby stuff so difficult?
@Duffgurl were you on the April 15 board? Your pic looks so familiar lol.
Yes I was briefly because my OB gave me the wrong EDD. I ended up leaving the group going to March and had my DS March 17 2015 That's awesome that you remembered.
@BookhousegirlI had a lump discovered several years ago at a pap exam. The ultrasound showed it was a cyst (I can still feel it). Hopefully it's the same for you!
So excited for the snow tomorrow and saturday. Winter storm Jones!! We are under a state of emergency!! It has been a long time since anything like this has happened. Hope everyone stays safe and warm.
I'm super glad that you ladies are excited about the snow coming your way. We're sick of it here. And really looking forward to a warm (30's) weekend!!!
Great but seems like each day is not enough of a day to do everything that needs to be done but get closer to belly getting bigger and then having it so that's the best feeling ever

I bought a belly band so I can keep wearing my current pants--trying it out for the first time today, but it seems to be working!
