Baby cries

So we have had baby home for three nights now... I literally dont wake up or even hear my babies wimpers and cries (even meltdowns). Ill wake up to my husband all strung out with all the lights on totally exhausted! Nurses said i would be more sensitive to babies sounds and it would be second nature. Anyone else this way?? I wouldnt say im a super deep sleeper, and im not that tired or on any pain medication from my c section either...

Re: Baby cries

  • When I was in the hospital this happened. The baby nurse actually made fun of me for it. Baby was purple screaming (the baby nurse was changing his diaper- he HATES that) I was snoring...
When we came home I would pass out like that and wake up to SO changing LO's diaper or asking me to fix a bottle.

I think we are more exhausted than we feel so we "pass out"

Now three weeks later I wake up at every noise he makes lol he's a noisy one :)

  • I have been pretty good about waking up, but last night at one point I finally woke up to her crying and hubby was in the nursery with her and had already un-swaddled her, changed her diaper and was rocking her.
