Bedtime diapers

DD is 20 weeks and sleeps 9-12 hours per night and her diaper is always wet and weighs a ton in the am. She just went up to a size 2 and there is no problem with leakage but I'm wondering do any of you use a special night time diaper because of this?

We don't but I am experiencing the same thing - probably headed into size 2s after we finish up the current box of 1s but have been wondering if we should have a night diaper.

We are in size 3's and just switched to Luvs with overnight protection. He is still wearing regular Huggies and Pampers during the day to finish off our stash of diapers, but the Luvs helped a lot after he was leaking through the Huggies every night.

The only diapers I was able to find for up to 12 hours protection in sizes 1 and 2 were the Huggies Snug and Dry which have worked well for us during nighttime. I also got a tip from a veteran mom that one can use regular diapers at night but one size up and that it should be enough. I tried this a couple of times when we ran out of snug and dry and it worked well too. Hope this helps!

Luvs are great for overnight, I use them all day too. They hold a ridiculous about of pee lol Noahs diaper this morning had to of weighed a damn pound. I couldn't believe nothing leaked

Pampers Swaddlers are my best choice right now. No leakage and my son sleeps the same amount of hours as your LO

Not helpful for OP but we cloth diaper and his disposables overnight used to weigh a ton. Our first night in cloth we found a winning combo and havent had a leak at all since! We do a microfiber insert over a newspaper folded prefold inside a pocket in case any fluff moms are curious. He stays in it up to 14 hours depending on if I can convince him to insta-nap with me in the morning.

We use honest company size 2 diapers and never had a problem with over night (7-9 hours.) and our little one does pee a lot in her sleep. I also saw that they have a new diapers designed for night time.

We've been using a size up and it's helped. It's still huge and heavy in the am but no more leaks.

@imsoexcited915 I had this same problem, I switched to Pampers Baby Dry and so far I'm impressed. LO is 4.5mth and 14lbs! I have also heard good things about Huggies Snug and Dry but I only buy a pack at a time to make sure he's not allergic. I'll try Huggies next pack!

I think going up a size usually helps if you are having leakage overnight. I actually just had to do that with DS1 recently and it worked. Baby is in size 3 pampers swaddlers or cruisers and so far no leaks but they are super full since he seems to nurse all night.
Also, there are disposable inserts that can be put inside the diaper. A friend of mine uses them for her son and they are great. I think they are similar to a maxi pad. Ha!

I think the honest co overnight ones start at size 3. I'm definitely trying them when she reaches that size. I was having a leakage problem all of a sudden. I realized it was from more overnight feedings because of teething and just had to give in to the middle of the night diaper change.

We use seventh generation diapers, no leaks. She's in a size 3 (16lbs) and no issues.

Over here, we cloth diaper but yes, his overnight diaper is soaked in the morning.

I know this thread is about disposables but I have a friend who only cloth diapers at night and she said it saved her sanity by not having to deal with any overnight leaks/blowouts.

We use pampers baby dry and haven't had a leak yet. With my first baby we used the disposable inserts and they worked great. Especially when baby is older and peeing much more. They are just like the hospital pads lol.
