I found out almost 2 weeks ago I was pregnant, went to the doctor the next day to confirm and got both a urine and blood test confirmation! EDD septemeber 17! Unfortunately I have tricare and am still waiting on my referral to an OB/GYN. My husband comes home from 17 days in the field tomorrow and I will finally get to tell him the news!! I'm struggling so hard with holding together my anxiety of missacarriage or complication and the fact that my husband is going to be deployed and miss the birth of our first child.. I want to be so excited but as soon as I am anxiety just takes over.. this is such an amazingly bitter sweet moment ♡

Firstly, congrats!!! H&H 9 months to you!

Secondly, if you have positive blood labs and Tricare you should not have to wait for a referral. I also have Tricare and called the OB department and was scheduled right off. Unless you are trying to go out in town...? I know at Ft Gordon as an active duty I wasn't allowed to go out in town until the third trimester because there was no maternity ward yet. And at Ft Bliss I was allowed but chose not to because DH works at the hospital I'll be delivering at...

Where are you stationed at if you don't mind me asking?

I had the same fears with my first one . I was so so scared my husband would be gone on a deployment. I found out I was pregnant when he was doing his pre-training for the deployment

! Thankfully he didn't go his unit got called back. I hope everything works out and congrats!

This was me with DD. dh came home from the field father's day weekend and I had him open a gift from our dog that was a framed picture of the test. This time I was not so cute about it ha. Good luck and congrats !

Also, tricare has been nothing but amazing for me during my last and current pregnancy. I switched to standard so I could go wherever I wanted though. I barely paid anything out of pocket and I was high risk with DD.
