Hello! I was wondering if anyone here could help. I am currently trying to conceive and started using opk's this month. I am now on day 5 of a positive opk. Did this happen to anyone that was able to successfully get pregnant? The more I read online I am finding that some articles are saying that my body is gearing up to ovulate but not releasing an egg or I could have PCOS. Thank you for your help
Re: Help regarding multiple positive opk's....Please!
This did happen to me and I was diagnosed with mild PCOS. I would talk to your OB and I would definitely begin temping. Do you have regular periods? If it helps, I am now almost 32 weeks pregnant!
#2, with metformin @ 16 months
#3 with IUI #3.

I wasn't having any periods and so I took Metformin. Soon after I reached the dosage that worked for me (2000 mg) I ovulated and had a period. I didn't get a second period, I got a BFP instead!
ETA I also was temping which I know greatly helped my chances!
I started opks last Feb. Had surgery in April for my endo since things werent happening. Got my tubes cleaned out at the same time. Continued opks after. Got a positive in May but lost it soon after. Continued opks and tracking cm. Got a positive in August. 26wks pregnant right now.
I had a good idea of when I ovulated so i made sure we started having sex about a week before and after (every other day). My opks were only posistive for about 2 days max each month and only in the AM.
If you truly want to know when or if you ovulated, you need to start temping. Try reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility for more information.
I did hear some women use it to confirm pregnancy.
