Mom jewelry/Accessories

Kind of an AW post because I'm so excited about it as a FTM, but I thought we could share our mom jewelry and accessories and/or push presents for those who got them (MIL got me earrings from a jewelry store going out of business, SO never heard of them, I never asked lol) I've always loved the rings and necklaces with birthstones and the little nests with the eggs for each kid etc. Show us your momccessories! I ordered my own with our little guy's year, initial and birthstone from Origami Owl.

  • I am still in search for the perfect one. Definitely want something I can add to for future children! I love yours. Very pretty.

  • My "push present" (the term makes me gag) was this beautiful baby in my arms. Although I did receive chew beads as a gift from a friend, and I love it. Will probably get myself some more. https://www.chewbeads.com/
My "push present" (also not really a fan of the term) was a piece of cheesecake.  lol.  Goodbye gestational diabetes, hello sweets.

I think teething necklaces are really pretty and I can see why they're convenient, but I can't help but feel teething necklaces are a bad idea.  I think it's probably better to teach little ones not to tug on and chew people's jewelry in the first place.  You can start wearing pretty necklaces and earrings when you're with them by the time they're about 9mo to 1yr if you're consistent about stopping the grabbing behavior.
If there's something strange underneath the hood.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  If there's something weird and it don't look good.  Who you gonna call?  Your Doctor.  Immediately.  If it's new, painful, and possibly pregnancy related get your ass off the internet and call your doctor.  It's for your health and your child's.

  • DH got me an origami owl necklace for christmas with baby stuff in it and it already broke.

    (Story time)
My last week of pregnancy I survived off glazed doughnuts and during delivery I wanted one SO BAD. During my contractions I asked the nurse to call the doctor and ask him if I could have one, he said no and I cried like a 5 year old.  When it was time to push, apparently word had spread about it because all the medical staff in the room kept saying "one more push and you get that doughnut" and "Do it for the doughnuts".

Anyway my "Push present" was a glazed doughnut at 3am..I threw it up.

    I love this story.
  • No push presents here. But for my birthday (last August) DH got me flowers and a "mom" necklace that I never take off

This. The whole concept of "push presents" is nauseating.
    I second this!!

I actually wore my teething necklace in addition to my nicer jewelry to keep DD away from the good stuff. What's nice about it is I could hand it to her to distract her when we were out. Last time I had a silicone bead one and 2 that were wooden. I just bot a new silicone one I'm excited about.

I got this one for Christmas from DH. It's got both kids' initials and birthstones on it. It's not what I would have picked myself but I love it. I'll probably find another one I like for Mother's Day or next Christmas and send him the idea.
And I wear it along with my chew beads so he doesn't touch the nice one.

    I love this story too!

I hadn't eaten in a full day because I was a VBAC patient and just in case it turned to a CS they wouldn't let me. I had limited water too. The moment the baby was out the nurses brought me 2 huge cups of water and a Sprite and told us we had 1 hour to get Jimmy Johns to deliver. It was 10:15pm and nothing else was open near by. I hate Jimmy Johns but it was the best sandwich ever! I've since ordered from them 3 more times because I now crave them. DH laughs every time I tell him
    I want food from there.

Totallllyyy second the food thing. The minute I got the all clear to eat I assigned people carbs to bring( you bring chips, you bring pizza, how bout some cookies?) if they wanted to see the baby. Honestly I gained more weight post baby then during pregnancy as I was so excited to eat carbs once the GD was gone I went hog-fucking-wild. On a less fat girl note I have a ring with the October birthstone for my little lady.

  • I told my husband that his push present could be paying off all of the medical bills lol

I don't have any mom jewelry, but my SIL bought my husband some dad jewelry. Just a small silicone bracelet. This picture was taken before she was born. We swapped out the birth stone once she was born because she ended up being an October baby.

  • My mom bought me this for Christmas. I've been trying to find some more mom jewellery or lockets on Etsy but so far nothing. Anyone know a place to get cute small lockets that won't break the bank?
  • My husband bought me a necklace with two intertwined rings and one of the rings enclosed a sapphire. He said the rings were us and the sapphire was our son. It was very sweet.
  • I wear an Oct/Nov birthstone ring for my girls beneath my wedding ring. I saw the love, marriage, baby carriage idea on Pinterest.
