TTC After a Loss

Looking for a new home

Hello! I have lurked and participated on other boards in here but never this one. I've read through a bunch of posts on here and I feel like this is a better and more supportive fit for me. My husband and I just started our ttc journey in Dec and got pregnant immediately. However, it ended in a MC at 5.5 weeks. We are ttc again right away but it's extremely difficult as it appears my cycle is all mixed up. I know that's notmal, but for some reason I thought I would be special and it would go back to normal right away. Even though pregnancy loss is extremely common, my friends have all had no problems TTC and have not experienced any pregnancy losses. They mean well but really they just iritate me when they try to offer advice. Reading through posts on here has been pretty helpful for me so I thought it was time to introduce myself. I'm so sorry for all of your losses as well and I am looking forward to getting to know you guys!

  • Hello and welcome. I'm so sorry that you need to be here. It's always sad to get new members since that means they had to go through the soul-crushing experience that is a loss.

I'm glad that you're found some comfort in the forum. I'm right there with you on not having any friends irl that have had any trouble TTC and/or have experienced loss. I literally had someone who was trying to be helpful and supportive compare my MC to seeing a negative test. It made me realize just how much ladies who haven't had a loss just don't get it. However, I'm glad that I'm the only person in my friend who has had to know this pain. When it comes to MC, understanding comes at a very high price.

Hopefully you'll get your BFP for your rainbow baby soon and won't be here long. :)

  • Sorry for your loss. If it makes you feel any comfort.. All of my friends except 2 have had a loss- none old late 20's or 30. Sadly, the more times you try- the greater your odds. So if it didn't snag them the first time around, may happen with the 2nd or 3rd. Life just sucks like that and it's a really awful sad part of life. I'm still struggling with being annoyed at people (to myself) due in the summer like I was. Now I'm like well- at least I don't have to be worried about that Zika virus garbage! If anything, hopefully a good old winter snowflake baby. Hopefully. Rainbows and baby dust for you!
