Just saw this on Facebook, and thought I should share as we begin to research and purchase baby gear.

I just copy/pasted it. Looks like Britax b-safe 35 and b-safe 35 elite were all recalled because the handle can break and drop the baby carrier. They're offering repair kits.

Looks like those that have purchased (and registered the purchase) will automatically receive a free repair kit.

Thats one of the ones I was thinking about getting. I'm leaning more towards the Graco Snugride 35 click and connect anyways.

I liked this one best mainly because of how light-weight the stroller is. Whomp, whomp. Think they will be fixed/ have new ones out by the time we all need it?

I'm not sure on how long recalls usually take to correct.

A lot of the ones out on shelves right now will have a more recent manufacture date than July 1 so they should be fine. The stores will pull any seats affected by the recall off the shelves, do if it's in stock in store, it isn't affected by the recall.

ETA I bought one in December 2015 that had a manufacture date in November 2015.

This just made the Chicago news as well. They said a stroller was also recalled because little ones can chew on the safety bar and the foam can come off in chunks. Not sure which model it was, but definitely look it up if you have it or want it!

That's the travel system we bought...luckily our manufacture date is more recent than July 1. Phew!
