So you want the moms "out of your hair" but then you expect them to take care of you at your princess party? Wow. And I suspect you know it's tacky to host your own party, otherwise you wouldn't be using your husband as a pseudo host, which is equally as tacky. You are both benefiting from the gifts, so neither one of you should have a part in throwing the shower. If your girlfriends have no problem helping set up and run the games, then why didn't they offer to host a shower for you? I assume it's because your bridal shower didn't go the way you envisioned and they don't want to bother trying to please you. But like you said, you do you.
