It's all dependent on how they fit you. I would suggest searching for a local baby wearing group. I know our local group has a lending library and everyone is very kind and will bring all sorts of carriers for people to try. My husband and I really like the ergo 360, but our first is only 3 months so I don't know how it will be in the summer. I also really like carrying her in my ring sling. It's really easy to throw on. I am pretty sure Lillebaby has a vented carrier and possibly ergo and beco as well. Finding a place to try them out before you buy one would be my best suggestion. There are so many different brands and they will all fit a little differently.
I used to k'tan active sport when LO was first born, Texas in October is still pretty warm and it was comfortable.I've tried the k'tan with him recently and it seems awkward and uncomfortable with him being so much bigger. We switched to the balboa sling after the k'tan and really liked it for about 2 months but now he seems to like the baby bjorn best and so do I, It's much better for my back. We also have the ergo baby but it's hard for me to buckle the upper strap by myself. I think as he gets bigger I'll have to move on to the ergo.
We have an Ergo and it's great. I like it bc the hip belt takes most of the weight off your shoulders. I had a snugli and a cheap carrier from Walmart and couldn't bear the weight on my shoulders/back. Although I bought the ergo that keeps the baby facing you but I think my little guy would rather face out
When deciding please take hip health into consideration. Even a baby with healthy hips shouldn't be put in a "crotch dangler" as it applies unnecessary stress on your babies undeveloped hips. The ergo and the mai tei are both hip healthy along with a couple of the new style bjorn. Any wrap can be used knee to knee as well. Good luck finding one you love!

I used a moby with my son and also a baby bjorn. The moby would get loose and was a hassle, and I hated the bjorn. I have a used ergobaby now that I love. Depending on how hot your summers get, I'd imagine any type of carrier is going to get too hot at some point. The ergo I have is canvas, so I'm guessing it'll get too toasty by summer.

I have an ergo 360, but I'm thinking of getting a lillebaby or kinderpack. Find a baby wearing group with a lending library and try before you buy. All of our bodies are different and you need a carrier that will fit you and your lo. Not one carrier will be the best for all of us! I can't get the ergo 360 snug enough with the Velcro strap, but my SO is a large guy and it works awesome for him.
I have a Sakura ring sling for quick and easy around the house and whatnot and we also have an ergo which will probably use more during the singer for extended wear while out and about
I have a chimparoo trek and I love it. It's light and breathable fabric and it's super soft and comfortable for baby and me. Plus it has a built in infant insert that's made out of t shirt material so it doesn't add bulk like dine other carriers.

The image really helps explain what they mean by ergonomic carriers.
