Already failed my gestional diabetes test

failed the 1hr test, then took the 3hr test & failed that too :-( Had GD with DD1 also. Was up to 6 insulin shots by the end. Anyone else on the GD boat already??

    I had it with my second child. I failed my 1 hour test last week but ended up passing my 3 hour. Gd sucks.

    This is my first pregnancy and I've been surprised that they haven't addressed this issue yet since I am obese. I am definitely scared of the possibility and since bfp I have been craving sweets whereas I wasn't much of a sweets eater before. I drink apple juice all the time and have to nibble on skittles at work after lunch to stay awake. I am hesitant to bring it up because I'm scared of the results but also concerned that they haven't addressed it yet. Should I ask?

    Because I barely passed my 30- week 1hr screening with my first even AFTER fasting and had a big baby, I'm thinking I will have GD this time. Luckily I don't crave sweets when pregnant, usually salads, apples, and watermelon. And I've been outsoles avoiding sugar like its toxic. I'd rather not do insulin if I don't have to and if diagnosed hoping to get by on diet alone. But I know that is usually a slim possibility.

    I was terrified of this last time because I am overweight but passed the 1 hour easily. Hoping I get lucky this time too.

    Oddly everyone i know who has had GD was slim.  Obviously not a scientific sample but I wouldn't assume you are going to fail just because you are obese.

    This is one of my major concerns. I'm already obese and my eating has sucked. I have an appointment with a nutritionist in a week so we'll see if that helps.
