How big is baby (fruit size or other)? plum/clementine

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Not having a lot of symptoms these days; feeling good mostly. No bump that I can see, though my pants are getting tighter--I just look fatter, not pregnant! So, of course, it makes me nervous. Hope baby is doing ok in there. Next appointment is 14 weeks.

GTKY- When are you planning on announcing your pregnancy to the social media world? Did it yesterday! Yesterday was the anniversary of when DH and I started dating, so it seemed like a great time to announce the next phase in our lives. Got lots of wonderful support.

We already told everyone. I'm a very open person so if anything were to happen I would want as much support as possible.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? i've been feeling good most days, but feel a bit nauseous just in the evenings. bloating seems to have gone down a bit thank goodness, now just waiting for the pop!!

Questions? My obgyn has midwives & doctors, both of which may deliver at the hospital depending on who is on call. They hospital also gives an optional doula that they would match me with a few months before hand, for an extra cost. Has anyone used a doula before and had good/bad experiences?

GTKY- When are you planning on annoucing your pregnancy to the social media world? i'll be 12 weeks at my next appointment, and i'll tell my friends. I might do a social media thing on valentines day, even though it would be so corny, it also might be pretty cute.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Sometimes I feel a little better... still an overall struggle.

Questions? Does your SO go to all your appointments with you or just important ones?

GTKY- When are you planning on announcing your pregnancy to the social media world? After our next appt (just before 12 weeks) we will start openly telling friends and family but likely wont post it on social media until we either know the gender or I have a cute bump to share!

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Well after the flu bug on Monday/Tuesday I have been feeling a lot better. So much that I have stopped taking my morning and afternoon Dyclegis pill. I hope that just means that the first tri is almost over.

GTKY- When are you planning on announcing your pregnancy to the social media world? Sometime after my 12 week appointment and US next Friday. Maybe not until Valentine's Day after we get the results back from the Harmony test? I am really not sure. All of the important people know already.

@Bubblegum5586 my DH only comes to the evening appointments moving forward if he can make it. He was at the first appointment to confirm that this was a viable pregnancy ( as was our DD) and he will be at the 20 week anatomy scan. But this is our second so that could make a difference. i purchased an home fetal Doppler (we just used it last night and I was able to find the heart beat after about 5-10 min of trying) so that he can hear the heart beat when ever he wants. That way he really isn't missing much if he isn't at the appointment.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Feeling pretty good, the majority of the symptoms subsided last week. Thankfully my boobs are still sore and I get tired easily otherwise I would be questioning if I'm still pregnant!

Questions? Any places in the southern U.s you would go on a vacation? SO and I are probably canceling our Feb Dominican vacation due to the Zika virus and I'm trying to find an alternative. Doesn't haven't to be a beach, just someplace interesting and warmer than WI!

GTKY- When are you planning on annoucing your pregnancy to the social media world? We have our first ultrasound when I'll be 10w5 days, if everything looks good on that we will tell siblings and do an official announcement after we get back from vacation (about 14 weeks) I want to do some cute photos wherever we go!

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? My hips are incredibly sore, and I have been getting horrendous headaches. But, still no morning sickness!

GTKY- When are you planning on announcing your pregnancy to the social media world? Well, I am waiting until after I am able to tell my family, face to face, which is next week. I figure we will announce after that at some point. I can't believe it is already that time!

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I'm still feeling very nauseous and tired, and it's the worst in the evenings. I know it's early, but it looks like I've popped! If it's a bloat it's disguised very well.

My hubby went to my 1st appt (I was nervous, and we had an ultrasound) and he'll come to the 20 wk appt where we have the next ultrasound. Otherwise, I plan to go on my own

I live in New Orleans, which is a great place to visit! Austin, TX, is also fun. Asheville, NC, is beautiful. Destin, FL, has a great beach.

Questions? @Bubblegum5586 my H wants to go to them all, but I don't think it'll be feasible. He'd have to take off too much time at work. But any time I know I'll get an ultrasound, he will try to be there.

GTKY- When are you planning on announcing your pregnancy to the social media world? My next appointment is in 2 weeks, when I'm 13 weeks. We'll start telling our family, close friends, and work as long as everything looks good. I'm a fairly private person so only our parents and siblings know right now. Once all the important people know we'll post something on social media.

GTKY- When are you planning on announcing your pregnancy to the social media world? Probably won't. I didn't with my first until 20 weeks and then didn't post much except on Insta where I considerably restrict who follows me. We have preferred to keep it quieter and haven't done much sharing of our child on social media. In fact, we wouldn't have shared his birth at all but a friend made the faux pas of posting the picture we texted him and tagging us the same day.... Oops.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I was having terrible morning sickness starting at 6ish weeks and started taking diclegis since I couldnt even hold down an ice pop. I have been feeling better but still have major food aversions and I'm full after I eat one bite of anything. Other than that, just feeling tired.

GTKY- When are you planning on announcing your pregnancy to the social media world? We have already told our parents and after the next ultrasound at 12 weeks we plan to tell the rest of the family. Will probably do something on facebook after my family knows.

@Bubblegum5586 With my first, DH came to one early appointment so he could hear the heartbeat, and he came to the 20 week ultrasound. This time he will probably only come to the 20 week ultrasound. It's a matter of personal preference, I think, and how much time he can get away from work. After the first few appointments, they start to get really repetitive (especially toward the end).

@tmk0325 I'm in WI too! I agree with @cait5413 's suggestions. Also check out Orange Beach/Gulf Shores, AL or Charleston, SC.

@cait5413 @tisunge602 thanks for the ideas. I'm hoping to go somewhere I haven't been before and I've been lucky to go to a lot of places (Austin, New Orleans, NC, going to Charleston in April, have family in Destin), but I will definitely check out gulf shores, I've never been there. I'm kind of leaning towards the Grand Canyon, I've never been there and it would be off season in Feb and not as busy, although it will probably be a bit colder! Other thought was Palm Springs, CA.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I get full really fast, but still want to eat, so I do, and then I feel sick. Ugh! I've noticed that while I'm not "showing" yet, my belly and everything have definitely shifted up, just like last time, so I'm thinking my stomach is being squished in there and that's why I'm getting full so fast. I have some smell aversions, but nothing too crazy.

Questions? How do you all get your tickers to work? I've tried several different ones from different websites but can't get any of them to publish correctly, they just show up with the link.

GTKY- When are you planning on announcing your pregnancy to the social media world? Maybe next week or sometime in February. I want all important family and friends to know first, I'd have for them to find out on stupid facebook lol. Immediate family and several friends already know. I just started telling people at work since I'll be traveling a lot during February, I wanted them to know just in case anything happens.

Bubblegum5586 For our first pregnancy DH came to all the ultrasounds and many of the physician appts, but not all of them. This time he hasn't come to all the u/s because our fertility doc frowns upon bringing kids to their office, for obvious reasons, and the monitoring hours are 5:30-7:30am, so we don't have care for her during those hours. He did come to two of them, one of our parents came over at the crack of dawn those times to be with DD. This time he'll probably just come with me to the NT scan, anatomy scan and any other ultrasounds they may make me do - there were a few later on in the pregnancy last time to monitor things. I don't really see a reason for him to come with me to the physician appts, all they really do is measure, take your stats, and see if you have questions. Plus, my OB is 5 mins from where I work so it's easy for me to sneak out for an appt mid-day and come back. His office is about a 50 minute drive to my OB, so it's not convenient.

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? Feel better off and on, but the tiredness is constant. My biggest problem now is wearing pants. Even my bigger pants don't really feel good. Not really a bump yet, but definitely feel like my guts are being smashed up. Can't wait for it to be a real bump so I can feel more comfortable wearing maternity pants.

We aren't really social media people, but all our close friends and family already know. My MIL and BIL immediately put it on fb which was annoying. We forgot we have to tell them specifically not to post stuff about us.

@Bubblegum5586 My H has been coming to everything but he doesn't go to work until 4 so it's fairly easy to make that happen. I just feel more comfortable when he is there. We'll see how it changes though as we go more often.

I don't know that we will this time, we are trigger shy due to two losses. But with out DS we announced around 11 weeks, if we go for it this time my guess is it will be further than that!

@SkiChic626 same thing happens to me when I eat! I get full so fast and then get so nauseous. I feel like I should eat more and try to finish my food and then feel like crap!

How many weeks today? 12w1d now that it's Friday

Rants/ Raves/ Symptoms? I am still extremely exhausted. I just had a cup of coffee and I want to go back to sleep. I have been having pretty bad neck pain that my chiropractor can't cure. Tylenol is not cutting it. Symptoms: increased salivation (I have to constantly spit), crazy appetite, aches/pains, RLP, itchy skin, exhaustion, moodiness/crying spells

Questions? Anyone else having aches/pains?

GTKY- When are you planning on announcing your pregnancy to the social media world? Sometime within the next week. We went for our second ultrasound yesterday and saw the baby sucking its thumb

I had genetic testing done and also requested for a gender test. We should know the gender within the next week and will probably announce then. All of my friends/family know, however.

The hospital I will deliver is literally across the street from where I work and I can schedule some of my appts there. When I do that I can easily just cross the street and then come back an no one will notice, so I was thinking it would just be easier sometimes to do it by myself!
