Girl name

My great grandmother passed away today and her name was Opal. I decided I want my daughters middle name to be Opal. I'm thinking either Vivian Opal Sasvin or Izabella Opal Sasvin. What do yall think?

Re: Girl name

  • Vivian Opal is beautiful! So 1920's! Personally, I am just about over any name with Bella in it. It feels like half the little girls in DS's class are named some form of Bella.

Another vote for Vivian Opal! I am using the name Vivian for our little girl too! :)

I also really like Isabella if you decided to go with that. (We loved the name Isabel but we had already named our dog Izzy.)
  • Another vote for Vivian...

    *QUESTION*:

Hoping in on this since it's semi relevant and I don't really want to start a whole other thread about it.... :)

Do you guys see a difference between the names Isabella and Isabel? Like do you think one is more "popular" than the other or are they about the same?

  • I'm sorry for your loss. Love Vivian and the tribute to your great-grandmother.

I don't see much of a difference. I work in schools and would say Isabella is more common, but I know isabella's that go by Isabel. And both often go by bell or Bella.

The Italian and English versions of the same name.  Both lovely and very popular.
