  • I had the same problem with my mother in law from the time my husband and I started dating. I finely told her, to back off and told her I wasn't going to start an agreement over stupid stuff like she was trying to do. After we got married, she was always on us about having babies. Again, I had to tell her to back off. This past summer she brought up again about babies, I lost it on her because we have been trying and we're having some difficulty. She hasn't brought it up again. We have let her know some more information about what is going on, but I think she is learning she won't get to far with me and trying to get the upper hand.
It may not be everyone's way, but it is what had to work for us.

Don't let them walk all over you and try to be polite but stern about what you want to get across to them if you need your space.

I'm so sorry. My family is driving me nuts too. All the flux of hormones from my last misscarrage don't make dealing with my anxiety around family expectations any easier.
