Compounded Prevacid

My LO has been on prevacid for the past few weeks but seems to get better and then worse. He has gained weight so we have been trying to adjust his dose but for the past week he has had HORRIBLE gas pains. I have read that gas could be caused by the compounded medication. Our GI ped said we could try OTC prevacid capsules (half a capsule) and crush. Im concerned about properly crushing it and the dosage seems off half a tablet would be 7 .5 mg and he is currently on 2.7ml of the compounded prevacid.

    I'm not sure about compounded but we had the same issue with my son. It ended up he had a dairy allergy. About half of babies with reflux have a dairy issue. Worth looking in to.
