@Zoey1019 I have long cycles right now too, althoigh not due to BC, just my body being abnormal. Try to take care of yourself is my only advice, sorry! I completely know how you feel about wanting AF so bad.
@juliehollz13 I don't know if you like podcasts, but I JUST came back from a run and I was listening to the Fertility Friday Podcast ep. 60 which had a lot of good information about PCOS and high testosterone. Super interesting. Good luck to you though! https://www.fertilityfriday.com
@Zoey1019 I also have had long cycles since coming off BC. My first 2 were 38 days which I could tolerate, but since then they have been 45,47, and 46 days. The waiting is awful. This is my 2nd cycle temping and I have found this to be soooo helpful. It's so much less stressful for me to know exactly when to expect AF. Good luck!!

@BerkeBaby So sorry about your Aunt. I know it's hard too, feeling like it's out of your hands. At least getting sucked into your day teaching can help you take your mind off it for a while.

WAYDTGKU: typically pnv, bbt, extra water, will start opk's this cycle
R/R/CS: posted this morning in TWW, but AF showed up so I'm posting here too. I'm upset I had such a weird long cycle (I forget but I think 42 days) but this cycle it's really game on. Im going to try every other day at least and if it looks like it will mimic last cycle and start being long I will do everyday during my O time from last cycle. Hopefully OPK's will help with timing too. **question: I've heard some people do their opk's twice a day, that seems like I would run out fast like that having, at this point, a pretty unpredictable cycle. For anyone that has been in this position before I would love some advice as to when I should start, or how often I should use an opk. It would be different with O at CD 15 but when you don't ovulate until CD 33 or so it all gets so excessive LOL!
GTKY: What is your favourite way to relax? (stolen from Mondays tww because I'm multi tasking) Well on CD1 my favorite way is with a bottle of wine in each hand....
R/R/CS: this is my first time posting after my intro, so hello! This is my first month temping, I did it for like 4 days last month and gave up because I'm weak. Feeling not very confident about tracking anything like CM so I'm just fumbling along.
GTKY: What is your favourite way to relax? I'm also in the Netflix, wine, candles camp. That's my go to affordable way to relax. I'd love to be on a beach indefinitely though!

R/R/CS: wtf weather people...rain or snow? 3 inches or 2 feet? I want their job... Nothing else really...waiting on AF to depart
GTKY: What is your favourite way to relax? (stolen from Mondays tww because I'm multi tasking)
Working out seems to be the only thing that really reduces stress for me on the regular (but of course I have zero time for that..but am trying) in the warmer months, the beach relaxes me - really anything quiet
WAYDTGKU: temps, green tea, HIO. I bought OPKs but I hate them. I used one and got what I guess is considered a negative result, and then I got an invalid one the next day.
R/R/CS: I feel like an idiot, but I have a really hard time identifying CM and am not sure how to put the data into FF. Sorry if this is TMI.....yesterday when I checked there was wetness, but I have no idea if it would be considered "creamy" or "watery." Are both types of fertile CM?
GTKY: I'm not sure I understand the term "relax." I'm a Type A personality and always on the go, and I like it that way. I have 4 jobs and am just always busy and stressed about something. I guess if I had to pick, I would say a nice bath watching tv (for Christmas a few years ago, DH installed a tv in our bathroom for me to watch while in the tub!)

WAYDTGKU: Aside from waiting for AF to leave, we're going to try EOD regardless of O and Pre-Seed this cycle.
R/R/CS: Mardi Gras is coming up, which is second only to Christmas in my book! One of the only good things about not being KU right now is that I can FULLY enjoy the parades, balls, and the Joe Cain 5k. I can dance, drink, and run as much as I want to without worry if it'll harm the nonexistent baby. #silverlining
GTKY: What is your favourite way to relax? Doing anything outdoorsy- running, walking, hiking, kayaking, just being outside, in general- it's my happy place.
WAYDTGKU: HIO, OPK, BBT, staring at FF and stomping my feet while waiting on any sign of O
R/R/CS: 3rd day in a row of extra low temps. Line on OPK was darker today, but still not a positive. I'm just so ready to see a temp spike and move on to the TWW! I've gone BSC in SS for O. Last night I could have sworn I felt the vibrating uterus.
GTKY: What is your favourite way to relax?
The triple threat = long run, BD, lots of wine. Just one is great for relaxing, but all three in a day.... man! I won't have a care in the world.
@BusinessWife I've heard conflicting advice, but generally I've read 5 days before expected ovulation, or earliest expect ovulation. I'm 6 days away from my earliest expected ovulation so I've started now. I've also heard conflicting doses, from 200mg (10ml) three times a day, up to the max OTC daily dose, which is somewhere around 300-400mg 3-4 times day depending on what product you have (so 1200mg a day). I decided to stick with the conservative dose 200mg TID, and I'm drinking tons of water as well. Last month the extra water alone improved my CM, but no luck last cycle even still. I wouldn't recommend going over the label dose, and I'm not prescribing you a dose, just sharing what I'm personally taking so you can make your own decision. Good luck

@Thea519 Do you live in Nola? My DH and I lived there for 13 months and it was the most incredible experience of our lives. Some of the only people that I actually stay in touch with now are the friends I made when I lived there. Our first Mardi Gras we lived on Annunciation St. and had no idea what we were in for haha it was great. I ordered my DH a King Cake (surprising him) and hopefully it's here soon! Enjoy yourself
@jparli - No, I live in Mobile... the true birthplace of Mardi Gras! I've been to NOLA a bazillion times, but never actually during Mardi Gras. It's a lot more, shall I say, debaucherous than Mobile's lol. Enjoy your King Cake!
WAYDTGKU: Chillin out max and relaxin all cool. Trying to build the sexual tension?
R/R/CS: I've been doing really well on the health front - no chocolate and eating well for 4 days now (= no reflux pain! and my pants were looser today) so I'm feeling better and better about getting off the Nexium. I also worked out Monday; I felt like death yesterday but hope I can keep at it. Totally with you @PrettyPalomino - this is the best time to set new goals!
GTKY: What is your favourite way to relax? The first hot Saturday or Sunday of the year I pack a picnic basket and blanket and we head to the rose garden for the afternoon. We talk and read our books, and I inevitably fall asleep and it's one of the best naps I'll get all year. It's my favorite day, and now that we're in the dregs of winter I'm really looking forward to it! Day-to-day I just get on the internet and look at stuff, but it's never really relaxing... sometimes I'll listen to/watch ASMR videos on youtube.
@MRSCORKER fx for a good outcome with your vacation! The more I read about this virus the more scary it is, and I'm imagining these Walking Dead-like scenarios where no one is allowed to get pregnant for the next decade thereby completely ruining my chances to ever have children. (I guess this is how my bsc manifests )
@tamalahoops That blows. As much as I really want to talk to someone about this IRL, people always disappoint me when I share my feelings. Sorry that someone you thought you could rely on did that to you.
Good luck @juliehollz13 ! And Yes to old sitcoms! I love ALL of them - from Bewitched and Leave it to Beaver to ELR and The Nanny
No joke my dad sent me 4 bags of Reese's minis when I was studying abroad for the semester. They taste like home! @Beary67, @Sparty18 , @kirby1220 Someone actually took an Exacto-knife to the different Reese's shapes and tried to figure out which one had the most peanut butter to chocolate ratio. @DCHokiemom sorry about the pimples, make sure you document this all with pictures so when you're future DD/DS is a troublesome teen you can show them what you went through to make them happen!
@Berkebaby shocking isnt it. You've gotta love these ladies though So sorry to hear about your Aunt
@Zoey1019 my first cycle off BCP was wonky too, it was much longer than usual and was annovulatory. Not that it is a reflection on yours but I think in general cycles can be a bit bizarre whilst your body regulates. FX yours does soon.
@juliehollz13 Yay for getting some answers!! Hope you continue to get the help you need!
@Mamamunn I think that thread yesterday got to a lot of people, and it makes it even more annoying that she is getting this much attention but my god! Looking forward to forgetting all about that sap now
@cwirth89 Sorry your IUI was painful, see you in TWW tomorrow though
@ReesaAnne16 I agree on solo coffee shop dates, love them!
@FiancB Sorry you felt so down last night, hope you feel better today, that thread is definitely not worth remembering.
@Tamalahoops, crazy eh? she managed to offend almost everyone here but still thought we were all wrong and she was on team right.
@JamieK1882 If there is wetness that quickly evaporates its probably not CM, we always have some wetness down there. This may be too gross for you but it might help to google CM for TTC and looking at some pics of examples, you'll only have to do it the once and then at least you'll know what you are looking for. Pineapple contains Bromelain (the core of the pineapple) and so can help with implantation. You should only eat it after ovulation for around 5 days I believe. It may do absolutely nothing but I like pineapple so it's worth a shot!
@whiska Good look with that sexual tension and congrats on your loose pants, I need to take a leaf out if your book!
@MissAmeliaPond I'm on mobile but will have a gander at your chart soon, did you try putting more temps in etc?
@MrsDho11 I dont know how are able to do this every day, this took me ages and Jessie (my cat) has meowed at me the whole way through as she wants me to let her out. Jeeeze! Missed you yesterday and today - hope all is well with you.
WAYDTGKU: Charting, OPK-- We were trying to have more sex...
R/R/CS: Rant: Fuck you viral infection/flu that is plaguing my husband. He has chills, fever and congestion. Its my supposedly (according to FF) my fertile week and I am taking care of him instead of doing him like I want to. Granted, health before baby making, but that sure is frustrating as heck. Second silver lining-- I haven't seen a +OPK yet. So maybe he will recover soon and we can HIO and I'll ovulate later. Maybe? Bleeeeergh.
GTKY: What is your favourite way to relax? I LOVE to shower and listen to music. A hot shower, with some nice music on and just let my mind wander. After that I enjoy TV with the kiddos and H.
@BusinessWife - Here are the instructions from TCOYF: "Mucinex Expectorant or Guaifenesin Extended-Release 600mg tablets, as directed on the box, starting about 4 days before you would expect your Peak Day and continuing until a day after your thermal shift." And for anyone else interested, her instructions for liquid are plain Robitussin expectorant (or generic guaifenesin), 2 tsp 3 times a day, same timing as the tablets above. Hope this helps!
Month/Cycle: 3/4
CD: 12
WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPKs, guaifenesin, PNV, P-in-V
R/R/CS: I'm feeling rather nervous/excited as I always do this time of my cycle (fertile signs, likely heading toward O in a few days). My brain: "It's go time! Am I doing everything right? Am I forgetting anything I should be doing to maximize my chances? Is this the month? Should we aim for every day or every other day?" I know it doesn't help to overthink it, but there are moments when I can't help it and wish I had those uterus goggles to see how everything's looking up-in-thurr.
GTKY: For everyday relaxation, I enjoy taking a walk and/or going to the gym, meditating, lighting candles, reading. I also love a glass of red wine in the evening, but these days I only drink when AF is here. For major relaxation needs, my favorite is sitting on the beach in the Caribbean!
**edited to fix my typo in TCOYF's Mucinex instructions!
@YesOuiCan Thank you so much! If I O on CD12 that would mean starting it Jan 24th. If I O as late as Feb 1, that would mean starting on the 28th... I just hope there's no harm in taking it longer like that, cos if I wait till 4 days before the late-end O date, then I might not have started it in time if I O on the earlier end... You are doing everything "right" that can be done! I'm excited FOR you! Just make sure we don't forget the P-in-V. ;)
**ETA** @ReesaAnne16 cos TB is weird and I didn't see your post until I went back scrolling through Everything... I checked and Dear Lord! What I have are 12-hour 1200mg extended release tablets. So I guess that answers the dosage question! lol I might just go ahead and start those on Sunday, since even if I O latest Feb 1 that would be 10 days, so hopefully that's not too crazy. Thanks ladies! :D
@BusinessWife You're so sweet, thank you! I bet there isn't harm in taking it for longer, but I am far from a doctor! If you get clear fertile signs with CM or CP, you could just start taking it when you start to see those signs, but I know it's not always that clear. Just make sure the kind you're taking doesn't have any other active ingredients, or it can actually inhibit fertile CM! Eek!
WAYDTGKU: doing eet as much as possible. DH gets back from work trip tonight but has to leave for another one on Sunday morning... and I am scared to death that I'll finally ovulate while he's gone. Gonna do BD Saturday & earrrly Sunday AM before he leaves. That way the sperm will hold me over until I meet him on his trip Thursday. TMI, sorry lol.
R/R/CS: I have given up on BTT cause my thermometer is a POS, I've just been doing OPKs. Nothing yet.
GTKY: What is your favourite way to relax? cuddling with DH, never fails!
@MissAmeliaPond It could be, yes, but time will make it easier to say for sure. But either way your timing is great, right!? If it were me, I would keep HIO just to be sure ;)
@whiska That sounds utterly heavenly!
@strickland8052 FX for that O!!! Any minute now...
@zoey1019 - I can totally relate to you in re: to long cycles. I've been on BCP for 5+ years but prior to being on it, I'd have cycles in the 30 day to 40 day range. I'm on day 22 of my cycle and have yet to ovulate. Isn't it hard to be patient? I am expecting to get KTFU ASAP but it's a slow process over here...
WAYDTGKU: PNVs, temping, CM (soon at least), and OPKs starting at the end of the week.
R/R/CS: been taking a Bump break for a few days while I try to decide what to do about this upcoming trip to PR. DH and I have talked about it a few times, and he's okay with whatever I decide. I have all the complicated feels, but I think I'm leaning heavily toward sending him without me and still TTC this month.
GTKY: lazying on the couch and reading. Or actually going for a swim-- that tends to let me work out whatever is stressing me in my head, and I'm more relaxed by the end of it.
Edit: spelled my made up word wrong!

@BerkeBaby So sorry about your Aunt. I know it's hard too, feeling like it's out of your hands. At least getting sucked into your day teaching can help you take your mind off it for a while.
@PrettyPalomino I hear that about a little sanity in my headspace... and maybe not bingeing every 6 minutes during the TWW!
@beary67 That was me with the Hershey nuggets AGAIN yesterday! I'm like okay, can we just have AF overwith and not be powerless to resist chocolate for like 3 consecutive days here?!?
@Lecool I'm so sorry about the timing thing. You never know, but still it is rough when life just gets in the way at precisely the wrong moment... :/

@Paturkey I sure appreciate all the puppy-kitten hugs and such. I feel kind of blah today and as much as I was tempted to go look for that thread that @babymish mentioned... I am kind of feeling like my ignorance may be bliss.

GTKY: What is your favourite way to relax? I'm with @MRSCORKER on this one... Once upon a time, I would treat myself to massages fairly regularly. I need to do that again soon, my neck and back have been killing me and I'm just this little TTC/life stressball. My birthday is next month, so maybe that will be my excuse for a good spa pedicure and a real proper fullbody massage next door. I still haven't found a place that I trust for facials, so I'll have to keep my ear to the ground.

@mrskratt I took a month off from ttc and just ntnp when we hit 6 months. If you think it might help I definitely suggest it. It hit the reset button for me and calmed some anxiety.

The other day I unloaded some of my feelings on someone and they said "what?! You're still trying?! I thought you'd be pregnant by now." Yeah thanks. Me too.

Well on CD1 my favorite way is with a bottle of wine in each hand....

WAYDTGKU: PNV, temping, rarely having sex lol
R/R/CS: this is my first time posting after my intro, so hello! This is my first month temping, I did it for like 4 days last month and gave up because I'm weak. Feeling not very confident about tracking anything like CM so I'm just fumbling along.
GTKY: What is your favourite way to relax?

GTKY: What is your favourite way to relax?

@babymish--what role does pineapple play in fertility? I hadn't heard that one before
@virginiaham-feel better!
@prettypalomino--oh that sounds awesome! My parents have a camper that we like to go to also!
Also...I totally missed what we went down yesterday! Is the thread still up?

WAYDTGKU: Aside from waiting for AF to leave, we're going to try EOD regardless of O and Pre-Seed this cycle.
R/R/CS: Mardi Gras is coming up, which is second only to Christmas in my book! One of the only good things about not being KU right now is that I can FULLY enjoy the parades, balls, and the Joe Cain 5k. I can dance, drink, and run as much as I want to without worry if it'll harm the nonexistent baby. #silverlining

R/R/CS: my FF gave me CH today! Going to make sure my temp tomorrow is good then I could move into TWW.

(I guess this is how my bsc manifests
@tamalahoops That blows. As much as I really want to talk to someone about this IRL, people always disappoint me when I share my feelings. Sorry that someone you thought you could rely on did that to you.

@cjt121413 Aww sorry it upset you too, it was just so unnecessary wasnt it!

@DCHokiemom sorry about the pimples, make sure you document this all with pictures so when you're future DD/DS is a troublesome teen you can show them what you went through to make them happen!
@Berkebaby shocking isnt it. You've gotta love these ladies though
@Zoey1019 my first cycle off BCP was wonky too, it was much longer than usual and was annovulatory. Not that it is a reflection on yours but I think in general cycles can be a bit bizarre whilst your body regulates. FX yours does soon.
@teamginger13 Sorry for AF
@QueenDaenerysT Sorry about CD1
@JBcakes08 Welcome to WTO
@Marley629 Hope AF GTFO soon!
@fitllady21 Roll on Friday!!
@Thea519 Enjoy Mardi Gras!!!
@strickland8052 Really hope you get O soon!
@NurseMarie9 Yay for CH!!!!

CD: CD24

Month/Cycle: 1/1
CD/: 22/still haven't ovulated! wtf
@whiska That sounds utterly heavenly!
CD: 12
