I am thinking I will spend the next 23-ish weeks dedicating WW to my husband. He left me his car to drive (since I commute) and it is a full on SNOW day. I loathe driving in the snow, but his outback is just amazing in bad weather. I have known for years I need to get my own Subaru, maybe baby #2 will seal the deal!

We have an outback and it IS amazing in the snow! Glad you got there safely!

Ditto! Best car purchase ever. The all wheel drive, handling, and variable transmission (way easier to drive snowy hills in manual IMO) make it a beast in bad weather.

Yo, I am winning (super bragging post)! According to my FitBit, I have walked 26 miles and am crushing the Work Week challenge. I average 15 flights of stairs a day and can definitely feel and see a difference in my calves and booty. I feel so much healthier and can actually go up and down the hill between the two school buildings I serve without having to stop halfway through and gasp for air. I have been doing healthy filling lunches and have made big strides in increasing my water intake (still not ideal, but I will take whatever steps forward I can!). While the number on the scale hasn't been budging lately (I am growing a human after all!), I did slip on a pair of pre-maternity jeans, just for S&G's, and they actually fit over my thighs and butt! My arms are less flabby so I can wave without looking like a saggy bat and my belly is getting much harder and not as squishy. I was actually able to get down on the floor with my son and play with his train tracks and then hop up in enough time to make it to the bathroom after his sister decided to use my bladder as a trampoline! My friends were shocked at how well I could keep up with my son as we were running around at an indoor play space, lifting him onto the slide, chasing him, getting down and up off the ground fairly easily. My abs are obviously shot, but at least I am building my core in other ways to try to keep active.

I have been discharged from high risk and both Baby Luna and I are in a great place to have a safe and healthy CS. That has been my main goal through this new healthy lifestyle. I know I can't completely blame myself for what happened with my son, but I also know that there are things I can do to be in the best shape possible for major abdominal surgery. I need to have a swift and healthy recovery. I will have two littles depending on me. I also need to be there for their graduations, weddings, children and beyond. I have seen what a burden and heartache it is for MH to watch his mom's health decline. She is morbidly obese and she refuses to do anything about it. She doesn't take care of herself and I know it is killing MH to watch her die a slow and painful death. I am blessed to have a healthy mother who takes incredible care of herself and I see how much richer her relationship is with my son because she can run around the backyard with him and pick him up and have dance parties with him. My mom was always so active and involved in my life and I know it is because she felt healthy and made it a priority to be in great shape not only for herself, but for her children. And now she gets to reap the benefits of an incredible relationship with her grandchildren. I want that. I want to be a healthy influence in my children's lives. I want to show my son and daughter how to have a strong healthy body and live mindfully. I was so complacent before because I didn't feel like I was reason enough to be healthy. But now I have the greatest motivation of all. I need to be a good role model for my children and show them the value of honoring the body that nature and God has provided through healthy living and mindful choices.

I found something online that red velvet Oreos were back and was sad yesterday bc the store near me didn't have them. But today I found some at the Target by work and I was incredibly excited. They also had the new cinnamon bun flavored ones too. Cookies will apparently be my downfall in this pregnancy. Lol.

You guys! I just saw the MFM specialist that I was seeing while still considered high risk! I haven't seen her in over a month since I was bumped out of the high risk category. She was at the school because her daughter is a student here and I was picking up something from the front office as she was coming in. She gave me a huge hug and we were chatting about how well the baby and I are doing. She looked me up and down and said "You just look fantastic!" and it made my day.

This is going to make me sound like a twatwaffle, but while I hate bad wintery weather, I am halfway grateful for it b/c it means I won't have to go to a two year old's bday party on Saturday. My social anxiety is through the roof even more so with this pregnancy. I don't think I could take it being around a bunch of people I don't know.

DH is my winner. We are going out of town to KY (4 hours away) and since we're under winter weather advisories and all this craziness I was a bit worried about how we're going to get there. DH said it doesn't matter that if we run into un-driveable conditions we will find the nearest hotel/B&B and hole up for the weekend there! Kinda romantic and made my heart swell a bit.

They started making them last year around Valentine's Day, but they decided to make them permanent a few days ago. And they are absolutely amazing - especially if chilled. Probably my favorite Oreos. Check your Target for them... They seem to be the best about keeping them in stock.

Let me set the scene...first "big" snow in STL...people can't drive so I figured it would take forever to get to work. Thinking ahead I put on a big ol pad just in case......Got to work, used the restroom, got my coffee, took a drink. Said coffee hit the wrong pipe throwing me into a coughing fit, causing my (I thought) empty bladder into overdrive. Full on pee ladies....full on pee. Nothing I did stopped it. So, today, the massive pad and my not-so-empty bladder apparently won. Note to self...buy more pads!
