Went in for my 37 week appointment today and my blood pressure had sky rocked to 134/100(normally I'm 90/60). So my doctor sent me to labor and delivery for tests and to be monitored. No liver enzymes in my blood and BP did go down to 134/86 once I started laying on my left side. They also did an ultrasound and baby boy looks good. Doctor put me on immediate Bedrest and I have to do a 24 urine collection. Have an appointment Thur to get rechecked.
Any advice for Bedrest besides sleeping, TV, and pinteresting. I'm lucky my MIL lives around the corner and can watch DD during the day and I'm sure my mom will come down for the weekend
Re: Unexpected Bedrest
@VitaLuna I tried crocheting when I was pregnant with my first and I'm terrible, I can sew but not while laying on my left side lol. Which is a bummer because I wanted to make some more burp cloths
@jenniv82 I already have several items in my Amazon cart....don't want to overspend before baby

I know you said you tried to crochet but it's worth a shot to try knitting too. They're a bit different and usually people find it's always easier to learn one over the other.
I tried teaching myself how to crochet when I first started and I couldn't "get" it and tried knitting. I found knitting was much easier for me to grasp.
You could also do some reading or do something like start writing letters to your baby on what you're going through/feeling right now.
Either way, hang in there!
