I'm soooo done! Beyond done really with this whole PH balance crap! I've been itching so, so, so bad for months! I've gone to my OB several times and I don't have any infections.... no UTI.... no YI.... nothing! I can't seem to sooth it either. Its just a constant annoyance and I'm to the point I'm about to flip out! I've cried 100 times over this because like I said... it's constant. I can't do anything. I change my underwear a million times, I stopped using panty liners because I break out in a rash every time I use them, I've tried creams [vagisil and cortazone10] both extra strength, I use the wipes that helped me before I got pregnant, I do wear cotton underwear and loose clothing...sometimes even go without underwear for slight relief, and I've switched my regular soap I've used my whole life to the Summers Eve PH balance formula kind..... I've even tried the sex remedy [someone told me semen helps. I know kinda weird. But totally didn't help].
Nothing has helped.... I don't know what to do.... I'm at the edge of losing my mind.... someone please tell me I'm not alone :'[ or that they know another way
Re: I am just so sick & tired
BV?
Have you upped your intake of probiotics? That may help.
Personally, I am super skeptical of a 'ph balance' assisting cleanser because I don't really believe a topical cleanser can change your PH balance, which begins internally, as in INSIDE your body. But that's just me, as I'm super skeptical about how products are marketed to women.
Best of luck! More yogurt, girl
I hope you find some relief soon!
I would also recommend not using soap on that area until you calm down a little bit, and I second what people have said about letting it air out.
Don't go to bed with underwear on, and wash your sheets regularly, especially if you have pets, because the oil from their hair can really irritate you. (Older woman I worked with swore that was my problem a few years ago, no idea if it's actually based on science, but washing more frequently made a difference so /shrug)
I'm not a dr, but I have had the occasional itching issue that the dr can't explain no matter what, so I found anecdotal stories for it, and those three things really helped me! Using soap down there gives me issues, as well as shaving, using tampons, and never giving myself time to air out.
Yogurt helps (raw yogurt is best, or at least it was in my case.)
Not saying anything negative about you when i ask this but have you been tested for other bacteria/virus?
I hope you get some relief soon!!
Thanks again for all the advice! ♡ and well wishes!
Sometimes I get the symptoms of BV without actually having it and my doctor has said it is a PH issue.
What helped me is taking a warm bath (not hot) with 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar (my doctor suggested it).
Coconut oil spread on the labia as a barrier (not internal, just helps with external itching and dryness/irritation).
And cold compresses.
I use no soaps around my labia, use only scent free baby mild Dr Bronners for body wash.
Only cotton underwear and no undies at night.
I have never worn tight clothing so no changes there.
Watched the amount of sugar I ate, and upped my probiotics.
And switched to a diva cup and reusable cloth pads.
After making all these changes I was rarely having an issue, but still did from time to time.
I'm not sure if any of these will help you, I just know they helped me with the symptoms.
Use the dove and stay away from all the other.... no panties at night (I mean heck the jokers don't fit right with our bellies anyways)...
Ahhhhh
@MamaRoni haha yea *blushes* I was just EXTREMELY desperate!
