Is my progesterone level a good sign I'm pregnant?

Hello all,
I'm in the middle of a TTW. I'm day 7 post IUI and had my blood drawn today to check my progesterone level, which turned out to be 13. The nurse said they like to see it above a 10. Could this be an indication that I could be pregnant?

A little background: this cycle was my first medicated cycle. I took letrozole days 4-8 and then the HCG shot. My follicles on day 12 were 21mm and 16.5mm (and a bunch of smaller ones) and triggered the night of day 13 and the IUI was the morning of the 15th. I'm not on any other meds.

I have no known issues. I am carrying our next baby, my wife carried our first.
This is my third cycle. 1st cycle we tried at home and 2nd cycle was with a fertility doctor but unmedicated. Now in third cycle

So what are your thoughts on my progesterone level being at 13 on day 7 post IUI?

Hi. I'm sorry to say progesterone levels are not indicators of pregnancy. I had an IUI in Nov, my prog. level was in the 50s without supplements. I got a BFN. I hope indeed you get you BFP, but HCG (beta) is the only reliable indicator.

Your progesterone level is just measuring if you ovulated or not and does not determine if you're pregnant. It definitely shows that you ovulated though, so that's good news!

Thank you guys for your feedback! Turns out I'm not pregnant

I got my period this morning (3 days earlier than I should have), and my periods are usually always on time. I'm thinking that I ovulated on my own before the HCG shot. Really disappointed in myself for not tracking my cycle at home this cycle. I feel like I would have caught this. How can this be avoided in the future? I don't understand why they don't do an ultrasound right before IUI to see if I've already ovulated?

I'm so sorry to hear about the bfn. I never got tested before either by the clinic, I had to keep track myself, which I did not like at all.
Take good care of yourself, and definitely do not beat yourself about it.
You did well, your not a fertility expert so don't beat yourself up for not testing or wrong testing.
Do talk with your clinic about your worries, questions and follow up you would like.
So they'll follow you up differently and you'll feel better going through a new round

That is interesting that your clinic does not do an u/s to confirm if you've ovulated or not. I always did something like this: + OPK, call the clinic, go in that same day for u/s to confirm, come back next day, do another u/s then IUI, come back the following day for another IUI. I don't understand if you're seeing an RE at a specialty clinic why they wouldn't check.
