How are you feeling? Good, just the normal sore boobs and bloat
Doing anything baby related today? This
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Excited for my appt next Wednesday, hoping they do an US. Also I can't wait to be done with these progesterone supplements, I loathe them!

GTKY- What's one of your favorite books you have read? What book do you reccomend other ppl to read? I don't know if I can pick just one, I love reading all different types of books. I will say my favorite author is Colleen Hover, she writes great stories so I usually suggest reading anything written by her.
Expecting baby #1 August 2016
Already have three furbabies- Blake, Sydney, and Chester
How are you feeling? Terrible today. Sorry if TMI, but the constipation is really getting bad. I eat plenty of fruits, grains, beans, etc but apparently all that food has decided to just take up residence in my body and never leave. I feel kind of sick and sluggish, and I look and feel like I have a blown up balloon in my belly. I finally took some Colace and Metamucil last night and I hope it works.
Doing anything baby related today? Just this
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: My one co-worker who knows I am pregnant told me that his morning I actually look pregnant. I told her it was just bloat, but I really do look like I could be 4 months along.
Questions? Moms who've been through this before -- does the constipation ever ease up?
GTKY- What's one of your favorite books you have read? What book do you reccomend other ppl to read? My favorite book from the last year or so was All the Light You Cannot See. It's a great WWII story told through the eyes of children/adolescents.
How are you feeling? nausea, sore boobs, same old same old. The pregnancy gas has been strong this week. I'm SUPER attractive right now. /sarcasm
Doing anything baby related today? No
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Excited for my midwife appointment, but really just wanting to be in out of first tri. The uncertainty is messing with my PGAL brain.
GTKY- What's one of your favorite books you have read? What book do you recommend other ppl to read?
I am a huge book snob. I love to read, but don't get to do much of it now between work, toddler and pregnancy. My favourite books are Pride and Prejudice (Jane Austen), Never Let Me Go (Kazuo Ishiguro) and The Sun Also Rises (Ernest Hemingway). That said, I always recommend books by Miriam Toews and Jhumpa Lahiri to people who aren't quite as snobby as me-- I find their novels really well-written and moving. The Sisters Brothers (Patrick DeWitt) is another good read. I could seriously talk about books all day long.
How are you feeling? Sick and tired - and tired of being sick
Doing anything baby related today?
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I came downstairs this morning, and my husband left the front door WIDE OPEN. It was 2 degrees outside. Our dog was making a break for it, and the cats were thinking about it. He's been a space shot recently and it's driving me up a wall. I think it's related to the snoring / sleep apnea he's started recently (I'm sure he's exhausted, I know I am), but despite my pleading, he won't make a doctor's appointment.

GTKY- What's one of your favorite books you have read? What book do you reccomend other ppl to read? Jane Eyre! Its Victorian era trashy romance novel at it's finest.
How are you feeling? The past few days I've felt sluggish and nauseous. Thankful today was a great day. These symptoms are just coming and going as they please.
Doing anything baby related today? Nope
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: We had our first ultrasound on Saturday and we got to see the baby and hear a heartbeat! It put me more at ease. Super excited to see something. We have our next appt. in 3 weeks.
Small rant: I've told most of my family about our news but have put off telling an a family member who lives far away, and I honestly didn't think it was a big deal because we rarely talk. I'm super concerned she'll post something on fb before we are ready to announce. She posts very personal things at odd hours if you get my drift. Well my grandmother is wanting me to tell her and I don't but I don't want to upset her. So just not sure if I should just chance it and tell her or stand firm.

GTKY- What's one of your favorite books you have read? What book do you reccomend other ppl to read?
My favorite author is Kristen Hannah. I've read all of her books and love them!
How are you feeling? Sore boobs, back hurts, bloated, and wanting to cry at everything.
Doing anything baby related today? Nothing.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Watched some celebrity Master chef episode yesterday. I cried when the master chefs beat the junior chefs. Like full on blubber tears. WTF?!? Lol
Questions? How do you stop worrying about the possibility of miscarriages?
GTKY- What's one of your favorite books you have read? What book do you reccomend other ppl to read?
I LOVE to read Linda Fairstein. If you like murder and history together, she's your gal.
34 Mother of 4 year old and 2 Labs. Happily Married to my Hubs of 6 years.
How are you feeling? Tired. But nausea has let up. Still thanks to Diclegis. My boobs had stoped hurting for about a week or so. Now they hurt again. I am SO bloated. It looks like I am way more than 9w4d pregnant. Which...is okay to me as long as I look pregnant for my cruise mid-feb and not fat. lol
Doing anything baby related today? Just apps
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I've been emotional about work...coworkers...the job itself. I am ready to just quit. Hubby says to wait a few weeks because it's probably just the hormones talking. And that made me mad when he said that. Grrr...
Questions? Nope
GTKY- What's one of your favorite books you have read? What book do you reccomend other ppl to read? Outlander is a GREAT series. Few know it as the series on Starz. But man...you should read the books. They are amazing.
How are you feeling? Today is one of my better days and so was yesterday. Sunday was one of the worst!!! I threw up twice over the weekend and was just so sick and exhausted the whole time.
Doing anything baby related today? I told a co worker today. She is really excited for me, and it feels great to have her know (I have been all but avoiding her since I found out because I was scared to spill the beans!)
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Thankful for the days I can function!

GTKY- What's one of your favorite books you have read? What book do you recommend other ppl to read? Ugh I am embarrassingly not a reader. I was pretty into the "In Death" series by JD Robb for awhile (another pen name for Nora Roberts)

Questions? Anyone else getting migraines?
GTKY- What's one of your favorite books you have read? What book do you reccomend other ppl to read? I am the biggest book worm and I've recently read a few great books, but the one I just finished is The Postcard Killers by James Patterson. That was my first Patterson book and I loved it.
@Allisun85 does seeing the heatbeat go along with this statistic? I had to have US early on for a corpus luteum cyst rupture and at 7w we saw a heartbeat but he didn't let us hear it.
@TerraMae80 I've read both of those and they're amazing! Ugly Love and Confess are also great. Hope you like them!

How are you feeling? OK. Nausea seems to be coming and going along with the fatigue. But now I've developed a new symptom: shortness of breath. I heard that's common in the third trimester but didn't think it was in the first.
Doing anything baby related today? Got my first trimester labs done finally. I just had to get them done before my appointment in two weeks. I kept putting it off because the hospital is 45 minutes away and riding in cars makes me sick.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I tried on a pair of maternity pants today. It was the kind with the full belly panel. I know I'm no where near that yet, but it was so comfortable! Wearing normal jeans are starting to become painful. Even with the rubber band through the hole trick.
Questions? Nope.
GTKY- What's one of your favorite books you have read? What book do you reccomend other ppl to read? I unfortunately stopped reading when I got my job as a copy editor for a newspaper four years ago. All I do is read 8-10 hours a day five or more days a week. I don't feel like reading when I get home. But I used to be a huge reader. My favorite author is Jodi Picoult. I love all her books.
@Kcolly32 My understanding was if there IS a heartbeat, regardless of the method of determining it. Of course this isn't a guarantee - but neither is the 12 week mark, or any other milestone. I know I found it reassuring for a 98% likelihood of continuing the pregnancy!
How are you feeling? Still nauseous, no real appetite. I currently have a cold so...yey.
Doing anything baby related today? Looking at name lists and this weekend I'm going to start clearing out the guest room which will become the new nursery. Sorry guests! No more vacancy lol
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: My favorite thing in the world is when my son looks at me and says, "Hi mama"
Questions? None today!
GTKY- What's one of your favorite books you have read? What book do you reccomend other ppl to read? The last thing I read was the Game of Thrones series. They were awesome, patiently awaiting the new book which I read is not coming out any time soon.

@msdidonato I researched statistics, and talked to my doctor.
"A heartbeat at 8 weeks increases the chance of a continuing pregnancy to 98% and at 10 weeks that goes up to 99.4%. "
This made me feel much better than the traditional common knowledge of "wait until 12 weeks to make sure it's viable."
