Advice please...Sore throat, headache, dry sinuses, head feels huge, mild cough. Dr says take plain children's benadryl or plain children's robitussin. Trying not to take meds but feel awful. Any suggestions cause momma still gotta go to work
@serenity2200 I am feeling under the weather too. Headache, fever, sore throat, body aches. I'm just riding it out but it's so hard especially when you have to deal with a toddler at the same time
Awww you guys are great! Thank you. I caved. I had some children's benadryl. I couldn't take it anymore. I'm feeling so much better this morning. One more day of rest and back to work . To all the other ladies that are under the weather, feel better. Btw it was great being able to talk to someone. Haven't made the announcement yet. Only my hubby and sister know I'm prego. I'M PREGNANT!! Sorry the silence was killing me lol. Congrats to all you moms to be.
I just got over a cold. I didn't take any medication other than a regular strength Tylenol to help with the headache. I did lemon and ginger tea with honey. Borrowed my daughters humidifier and just rested a lot. Hot showers and lots of fluids.. Water and oj. You can do cough drops that are non-mentholated.
I survived a sinus infection, pregnant, last April with: Tylenol, neti pot, werthers originals as losenges, puffs tissues with Vicks, sleep and orange juice. It worked!
Glad to hear others are in same boat as me with feeling aweful with a cold. Doesn't help that I teach kindergarten & have mono, strep, & pink eye going around my room. Getting a neti pot tomorrow for sure!
iv been feeling under the weather also its like you all asked the question on what meds to take at the right time iv took Robitussin once but dont feel right taking it i feel its to strong for my baby but im not sure please help?
Amen. I am dying over here. Runny nose and the cough is miserable. Sick of coughing. I've tried tyleno sinus, robitussin, mucinex sinus, cough drops, vicks vaporizer, and vicks rub....help!!!!
I went to my pcp today and was told I have a respiratory infection. Now I'm on azithromycin for the next 5 days. Ugh. I'm hoping this will make me feel better. Hope everyone else is feeling better soon, too!
Taking my turn with the cold--mostly a sore throat and compounded exhaustion on top of first tri exhaustion. Have been doing decaf tea with loads of honey, but after reading this I'm going to have to do the werther's originals as lozenges. That sounds amazing! And get some grapefruit juice, some lemons and limes, and more honey. So ready for this to pass. What I really need is sleep, but between a toddler and work, it's just not happening. Ugh.
I bought a netti pot. My doctor said since they can't actually do medical trials on pregnant women, even meds that say "safe for pregnancy" may not be because they have truly never been tested on pregnant women. Luckily I have an understanding boss who is giving me the time off to get well.
