Hi all,
This is my first pregnancy and I am now at 20 wks and 4 days. I am still not sure that I have felt my baby move. I think I am just worrying... at the last ultrasound, last week, her heartbeat is just fine, and she moved some during the ultrasound, but not a ton. That, on top of me not thinking I have felt her, has me a touch concerned. I saw her moving her hand and legs a bit, but certainly not bouncing around or anything.
I assume all is fine? No one as my OB clinic said anything was off, and that her heartbeat was great!
Just hoping for some advice for a first-time pregnancy.
Re: Baby moving... or not..?
Everything I've read online says a lot of women (FTMs especially) don't feel "real" movement until 26 weeks and before then it's so subtle that it's easy to miss. You're probably feeling her and not realizing it or it's happening when you're sleeping.
Thank you all so much for helping ease my mind!
It takes a while to recognize what your feeling with confidence.
Lay down, in a quite, non-distracting room. Drink juice, eat chocolate, relax and wait. The subtle little flutters in your pelvis/low abdomin is baby. They can be very subtle.
Also if you have extra amniotic fluid or an anterior placent you're just going to have to wait because they mask the movements.
Good luck.
