I say you are welcome ! I'm sorry the other board is dead . I would just make sure you put warnings on boards you post that mention a previous pregnancy or child . Some people are sensitive to that . But secondary infertility is infertility so I don't see any reason you shouldn't be welcome !! Hope your stay here is short but we are glad to have you !

I know for myself when I'm having a particularly bad day, I might avoid those posts, but personally am most generally happy to reach out.
Everyone struggling deserves support. I hope you find it here!
Welcome.

@laurenlalap We also have a DS and a (foster) DD that's been with us for 3yrs. We are in the legal mess of freeing her for adoption. Our son was born thanks to our best friend being a traditional surrogate. She basically got pregnant with our donor sperm and gave us the baby as planned. DW is still in the process of trying to have a baby. We have 3 embryos frozen and start FET soon. It's hard to be on these boards and not be able to talk about our children. It's fine to do so with warnings. I usually write the part without my kids mentioned first and then add a warning halfway down and write the part about children. Infertility in not being able to get pregnant after a 1yr of trying or with known issues. It has nothing to do with already having kids. Welcome to the board.
***Loss and success mentioned*** Me:34, Wife: 32 IF reasoning = MFI: Zero Sperm Count using FairFax donor bank
IUI #1 - #3: 2011 = BFN IVF: 2011 = BFN, lost all 10 embryos (with C/Ps) Jan 2014 - OBGYN (not RE) found and removed wife's "field of" uterine polyps after failed IVF
Moving on to surrogacy (actually a planned adoption) Surrogate IUI#1: 7.17.12 = BFP!! 15dpiui = 256, 17dpiui = 346 Oliver Zane born - 3/29/2013 on Good Friday!
IUI #4 - #6: 2014-2015 = BFN (with C/Ps) Switch sperm donors, start ketosis diet to reduce inflammation late 2015 IVF 2: Jan and Feb 2016, 3 great looking, 8 cell 3 day embryos. Two ET, one frozen 2.18.2016 (8dp3dt) = BFFP! 2.22.2016 (12dp3dt) = 649!!
Started foster care experience in 2012. Now waiting to adopt our foster daughter, 7, who has lived with us for 3 years.

I agree with everything others said. Welcome! Infertility hurts no matter if it is your first or your fifth. When it feels like your family is incomplete, your heart feels incomplete. We all understand!!!
RE DX for me: Anovulatory cycles/Mild PCOS RE DX for DW: Endometrioma on left Ovary. Reciprocal Ivf Feb 2016. DW eggs and I am carrying. EDD: 10/27/16
You guys are so sweet My reproductive system is a shitshow partially do to bad luck and a terrible birth so ivf is my only recommended option. We will go in to the actual clinic probably for the next cycle
@PerraSucia Hello and welcome. I too am dealing with secondary infertility and found that the other board is pretty dead. I was diagnosed with lean PCOS after trying for 18 months to have number 2. Apparently I just got lucky with DS. The pain and heart ache are real, my husband and I had a life plan and my body isn't holding up to its side of the bargain. My DH is very kind and supportive. Currently we have to take a month off r\t a number of circumstances. I'm trying to focus on how amazing our family of three is while still being positive that we'll get pregnant soon. Im here and rooting for you. GL
@wendyp28 I keep coming up with lists of things that are great about only one kid to try to convince myself. I hope after your month off everytjing falls into place for you.
I also have secondary infertility and am on the secondary infertility board. It was great up until the holidays and has pretty much died since then. Not sure why. @PerraSucia i also try to think of reasons why it's great only having 1 kid..sometimes it works, other times not so much. I am currently in my first IVF cycle. we did 3 IUI's that failed. @wendyp28 I was also told I was probably lucky with my DS as I have DOR and probably did but not quite as bad with him but we got pregnant with him very quickly and easily. I try not to mention my DS on this board as I know some people are sensitive to that and if I do I put up a warning.
@rachlee2010 I have also done 3 cycles of iui 2 with Lotrozole and one with Gonal F. When we start up again next month we are hoping for ivf depending on the amount of follicles I produce. I really hope this is your cycle. Fx
My first cycle is going pretty well. The injections don't really bother me as i've never been scared of needles or anything and I haven't really had many side effects. I did not do any BC before my cycle. We are doing a mini stim IVF so lower dose meds mixed with letrozole so it leads to fewer eggs than a full dose IVF
no @PerraSucia my reserve is very low. My amh is 0.1 If we did full IVF we were basically going to be given the highest dose possible of meds but we decided to try a mini stim first for a variety of reasons and it's a much lower dose of meds. But they don't expect to get as many eggs. the dr thinks that at our retrieval towards the end of this week we will get 3 eggs and if we get a 4th it will be a bonus so we will see.
I also have secondary infertility and was actually asked by the secondary infertility group to move on to trouble TTC board because most there are doing IUI and IVF and I'm still only on TI with femara. So I have come here and also gone to the TTTC board and have found myself welcomed. I sometimes feel I would like to be able to mention my daughter more but I understand how this can be very hard for other so I don't. When are you planning on your IVF?
@wendyp28 I think I also got lucky with my daughter, or maybe new issues have showed that I didn't have before. Either way, it's still infertility and really hard for me to handle. @rachlee2010good luck with your first IVF! FX for a bfp!

@lily55d I had pretty severe pre-e and had to be induced and during the induction I got a crazy infection from all my checks. Then when I finally got to push he got stuck and after 4 hours they pushed him back in and had to cut him out. Then I bled out and had to get blood.
I guess they think it's a bunch of scar tissue blocking my sad eggs from coming out.
Most definitely welcome. A little warning some prefer, I'm just happy to read you succeeded once, kinda gives me hope I might be succeeding too. And I don't think the pain, frustration, questions, worries are any less than for us that haven't got pregnant yet. GL with your journey, women and men are pretty awesome on this board!
