I try to sleep on my side but usually end up mostly on my stomach ..ish with like one leg straight and the other bent like sitting position. Anyway is it unsafe to sleep that way while prego?
No idea who these people are, but I am taking a Bradley method class, and this is a way they showed us to comfortably sleep that feels like you're on your stomach.
As long as it's comfortable and your not feeling any pain or pressure then it's supposedly fine. Just be very mindful of if it does begin to become painful in any way

Your body will tell you if you need to roll over or adjust positions. I slept like the above picture for most of my first pregnancy and that's how I'm sleeping now practically. I still fall asleep on my back sometimes but usually end up rolling over shortly after naturally
Im about 36 weeks and wake up all the time on my belly with pregnancy pillow on the floor. Your fine .... My doctor says as long as im not in pain from it it doesn't matter. I have invested in a few different maternity pillows amd hate them all none help me from going on my belly. The only thing that happens when i wake up is my boobs are really sore.
I'm 19 weeks and trying to adjust to side sleeping from being a stomach sleeper pretty much all my life. I bought two body pillows and usually sleep with them partially underneath my body with my legs bent to keep me on my side...although I wake up often still on my belly thanks to hubby moving them at night to spoon and forgetting to put them back. I am a dead sleeper. I would sleep through the apocalypse with no idea what's happening. You'll end up waking up if something starts feeling wrong or uncomfortable and can adjust from there. I have horrible heartburn that wakes me up in the middle of the night now because it hurts so bad. Point being...if something starts getting uncomfortable or if you're in pain, your body will let you know and you can adjust. It's def. a pain not being able to sleep the way you want, but just remember...at the end of the day, it's only 9 months of your hopefully long life

I am 13w and I am still sleeping on my belly. The only time it gets uncomfortable, is when my bladder is full in the middle of the night. But once I go to the bathroom, I go right back to sleeping on my belly comfortably. I think that I slept on my belly until around 18 weeks my last pregnancy.
I've slept like half on my side/half stomach until just recently. Can't do it anymore. I think your body tells you when that is no longer a good position.

@lalala2004 Yesss. That's what I have to do! I've always slept stomach/side and my body just doesn't like straight on side sleeping.
