I went to the OB a few days ago and I'm currently 33 weeks and my stomach is measuring 27 and he stated that I was too small and behind on growth. I have always been a really small person, I started my pregnancy at 105 lbs, and I've gained about 25 lbs total. He scheduled me for another appointment next week to do a growth ultrasound. Anyone else having or has had the same problem before? My little one is still constantly moving around and kicking. I've just been a little curious as to if anyone else was experiencing this or had any experience with my issue. Thanks in advance for any advice/information!
Re: Belly measurements behind?
In my case, I started out heavier than ideal but have only gained 15lbs. I am tall at 5'10", and my mom had large babies...but we were also two weeks+ past our due dates when we showed up. I also can see a noticeable difference in my bump size from morning to evening.
I know these measurements serve a purpose, but I personally am not putting too much stock in it at this point. You may just make smaller babies that are just as healthy. Frankly, someone has to be at the top and bottom of the scale. Try not to worry too much - the growth scan may put your baby back within expected ranges, anyhow.
I kinda wish docs would just stop. ... It is useless and causes lots of fear
