February 2016 Moms

Great full

While I know it's fun to bitch about things bc lets face it, we're pregnant so why not?! I'd like to know one good thing that's happened to everyone recently. I'll start! I have been with this company for 8 months. A month in the promoted me to a job with much higher pay. (It came at just the right time, I had just found out I was pregnant and we were looking for a place to move into together.) Now that I am 5 weeks away from her arrival I have been looking for child care. And while my new position has good pay, the hours are too ridiculous and also in no way work with child care hours. A position just opened up monday-friday 7am-3:30 pm (admin stuff) and they offered it to me to help me out with child care and just having real family hours. I am just thankful that the company does actually care a bit and want to see me do well.

  • My mom bought the wrong stroller for me a couple months ago but didn't give it to me until my shower last weekend. So we were literally 2 days away from Amazon's return deadline but it got returned and my mom ordered the right one (even though it was more expensive) and it came in like 3 days later from Target. Just need a crib mattress and car seat and we are all set!!! Getting pumped for this baby to arrive!!!

  • Enjoying the last few weeks with DD as an only child. Gosh I love this girl.

@kyraaD I am well aware how to spell it, I'm an English major. The subject area corrected this way and I wasn't too concerned about it.  But thanks for your lovely input, I hope it makes you feel a sense of accomplishment.

Honestly when I saw the title I figured you did it on purpose.
  • I'm seeing my brother tomorrow! Hooraaaaaaay!! I'm so excited. So is my dog. She hasn't seen anyone she knows for almost 3 years.
  • Our bathroom renovations are done. The apartment was an absolute mess and my husband and his awesome parents spent 2 weekends giving the apartment a good deep-cleaning. I organized some things but did not contribute majorly and really appreciated that they let me take it easy. So grateful to them.

Now our place is pretty much ready for baby!

    you're welcome :p
  • I had my shower last weekend and I live in north GA and my family lives in south FL. I knew my sister was going to fly up for the weekend but my mom told me a while ago that she couldn't make it and she wanted to use all her time off work to come up after the baby is born, which made sense so I wasn't too upset. I was just happy my sister was coming. When we got to the airport to pick her up my mom was there! They had it planned the whole time to surprise me (And my husband kept it a secret for weeks too!) I had an awesome weekend at my shower and just with my mom and sister being here to help get everything together :)

Yikes! I actually thought that was kind of a nice way for her to correct you. Don't get your panties in a wad! Btw you can edit the subject line, so...

I thought a one word response not contributing anything to the thread itself was tacky. Nice would be a "by the way" or a private message. Grammar nazis are one of my uo though.
  • I'm grateful I only have three weeks left of work. That means four weeks left til I meet this sweet bundle of joy! My husband and our other two daughters are becoming more impatient then I am!
  • We learned massaging techniques at our birthing class and the hubs has been sweetly practicing them on me before bed. I don't think he's ever given me massages without the sole intention of wanting hanky panky afterwards Lol. I'm so proud of him <3

@Achae that was exactly my thought. haha you just pop in here to give a snotty one word edit. @gr8trkim that was the point of the whole thing. If you have nothing to be happy about and what to just come in here say one word only correcting the title.. But like I said.. I wasn't concerned enough to correct it. Maybe you missed that part.

  • I'm grateful that my pregnancy has been as good as it has been! I read everyone's posts about the terrible symptoms they've had (well done all you mamas, keep holding in there!), and I just keep thanking my little boy for being so nice to me! And I'm VERY grateful that the NST my midwife had me take on Friday showed that he, and my body, are doing exactly what they should be doing, no cause for alarm! Now just a couple more shots (IV for GBS and a shot for RH-) and we should be all set at go time!
