TTC After a Loss

OPk and FF question

I use the wondflo OPKs and FF to track O. I got a positive yesterday (CD 13). FF is suggesting that today is O (CD 14)
I got a positive this morning again. I'm assuming that when I test later this afteenoon I will get a negative, since that's how the last few months have gone for me.
In that case, how would you record that in FF? If you get a positive in the morning and a negative in the afternoon. Which would you record?
TIA

Re: OPk and FF question

  • I would record the positive.
  • Loading the player...
  • Record any positive you get. Are you temping too?

  • I've got a question about temping - do I need a special thermometer if the one that I have goes to .1 of a degree (Celcius - 1 degree Celsius is about 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit) and showed a shift of about .4-.5 degrees last cycle after ovulation? I don't think it is giving me repeated measurements the same over time - I mean day to day - I shift a bit... I know a new thermometer is only about $10 but I hate to be wasteful/consumerist when it isn't necessary.

    Pregnancy Ticker

  • I didn't temp this cycle. Also how important is it to actually BD on the day of O. We BD 4 days before O, and then the 2 days before O. I'm pretty sure yesterday was O but my hubby had a work event until very late and I was asleep when he got home. Is the day after O still a good time to try? I read conflicting information.
  • @catiecatp I use a thermometer that goes to the .00. I did temp for a while with one like yours, which I lost somewhere in my house. The .00 thermometers I found were in the same aisle as the pregnancy tests etc. I saw some of the more subtle shifts in my temperature, but I'm not sure it was make or break for me seeing a pattern with the new thermometer.

@Stuuuaaart Can't hurt to try! I always figure if it will ease my mind that we put forth our best effort we DTD. Have you ever looked on the FF chart galleries? There you can search pregnancy charts and what days people DTD on resulting in a pregnancy.
  • @catiecatp Definitely get a basal body thermometer. The Mabis (which is what a lot of women here use) is under $10 on Amazon.
