Pregnant after a m/mc

Hey ladies, I just found out i was pregnant almost 2 weeks ago. I am 5 weeks and 5 days right now. I had went in to get my hcg levels checked out and the doctor said everything looked fine. I am so scared of losing this 3rd pregnancy. I lost my 2nd pregnancy October 10th, 2015. But i also drank, and rode roller coasters, got in a hot tub before i found out. I also took lovenox and i think that may have effected my last pregnancy. I'm just needing some prayers and reassurance right now that things will be alright. It's so hard feeling positive about a pregnancy after you lost one before. My first pregnancy was healthy and went full term with my son. I'm hoping this one does to.

Im sorry for your previous losses and cannot give any advice there but I do take lovenox daily, I took it from 4 weeks until about 30 with my DS and started back on it around 5 weeks with this pregnancy.  Im no doctor, but I don't think it would cause a MC.

  • Thank you ladies for replying. I just need to stop worrying and enjoy this moment. I just hope at my seven week appointment i can get a scan and feel better afterwards lol.
  • I hope everything works out in your favor @whickeyloo
TTC for Baby #1 for 3 years. After 2 failed IUI's & IVFs, God blessed us with our miracle :).  FET 12/17/15 (transferred 2 embryos at 5days). First Beta 12/29/15 = 354. Second Beta 12/31/15 = 694. Third Beta 1/7/16 = 6,695.  Finally heard his heartbeat (126)  on 1/14/16 @ our 1st US.  2nd US on 1/21/16, HR was 159.  The most beautiful sound ever :)
  • I understand how you feel. I lost my first pregnancy and it was the hardest thing that I've ever endured. There is no comfort other than knowing it is not your fault as these things unfortunately happen all the time. I did "all the right things", I didn't drink coffee or alcohol, ate super healthy (like chicken breast and veggies and fruits all day healthy) and even changed my skincare products to organic ones and still lost my baby. Babies are so protected in there that there are very few things you could do to cause a miscarriage. Just think of all women out there drinking and doing hard drugs and having healthy babies.

Be kind to yourself. For me, it was very hard to be happy and hopeful about this pregnancy until I heard the heartbeat. I'm only 6 weeks and obviously there is still a risk of miscarriage but that was my mental milestone, I guess. It's okay and even natural to be scared but don't let it cripple you. Something that helped me was to try not to think about the fact that I'm pregnant and just keep living in the moment. Odds are in your favor, they say you are more likely having this baby this year. I'll be praying for you.
