Hey ladies,
Are all of you giving your littles vitamin D supplements?
I had actually never heard of this until a public health nurse suggested I get vitamin D drops for newborns prior to going into labour. I brought it up to my doctor and he said in his research, he didn't find it neccisary and that our bodies know how to absorb the little amount of vitamin D our bodies need simply from sitting by a sunny window. (He also had more reasons why it wasn't neccisary, all which made perfect sense to my husband and I).
I'm now contemplating if I should have him on drops, as a few people have questioned why we chose not to...I was curious to see what you all are doing!
Re: Vitamin D
It's also pretty common for winter babies to need a supplement, since depending on where you live there isn't as much sun and it can be too cold to take baby outside.
