Blue cross short term disability claim denied =[ canada anyone have advice

Hey guys. Not sure how many canadian moms are on here or in bc.

Basically my doctor told me not to return to work after a visit with him in nov i had severe insomnia migrains sciatic nerve pain and nausea. My work advised me to file sickness benefits with ei service canada. They came back to me and told me i had coverage thru blue cross with my work and had to go through them( 3 months later with no income)..so i did...they are saying they are just regular pregnancy symptoms..my doctor has filled out extensive forms for them already..now blue cross says shes going to ask him more questions....im so stressed i feel like this is making me depressed bills are pilling up and im due feb 23

anyone have experience with blue cross?

No experience, I'm also not in Canada, but I wanted to let you know I'll be thinking of you! Hope it gets taken care of soon.

You should have applied with EI sickness benefits right after you stopped working & wait for desicion from your short term benefits while receiving EI. Once you get approved by the Blue Cross you just return money back to EI, you shouldn't be without income all this time

if you don't get approved then you don't have to return anything to EI - good luck!

Thanks! I did submit my claim nov 6 to EI but they wont approve it until blue cross does a formal denial
