I'm 3 weeks pp and feeling pretty great, mostly I think because I felt so awful while pregnant. I know we are suppose to wait untill 6 weeks to really start exercising. So far I have been doing keagles and slowly more house work. Are there any other easy exercises that are safe to be doing now? I was told light ab exercises at d/c but didn't think to ask what that meant. What is everyone else doing?
Re: Exercise?
My exercise for now is bf, walking & keeping up with my 5-yr-old.
@TomekiaB I just bought a sports bra from VS and got a free pair of sport leggings. It was around $35 so not too bad!
Also I got my bras from motherhood maternity.
My plan to run isn't going very well because it's dark by the time DH gets home. We're casually perusing Craigslist for a treadmill, but it doesn't look promising. We take DD hiking on the weekends -- she had her first summit last Saturday
I'd love to do some kind of weights or video program while DD is napping. Does anyone have a good resource for this? I'll probably do yoga videos, but something else for toning would be nice.
Also, our YMCA looks really good and I've thought about joining after DD gets her shots. Any moms out there have experience with gym childcare?
If anyone is looking for yoga videos, btw, Yogis Anonymous has online classes for $15/month
I find that getting the timing right is my biggest challenge. Putting baby down, changing as fast as possible, working out, toweling off, changing again, and grabbing a glass of water has to be precise and efficient if I want to make it through the whole workout.
I I know we discussed sports bras earlier in this thread, but now that we're getting cleared for exercise, does anyone have a recommendation for a rather busty (36 H) momma?
On rainy days I'm doing my Zumba on Xbox which gets me sweating
I've always been able to lose weight easily so my goal is to be back at my pre-pregnancy weight by March.
