RLP has been getting so bad at night & I can't get comfortable. I have no idea how I managed to get any sleep last night. And my nipples are so sore & itchy...whyyy?!

What are you doing to prepare for baby?
I have prenatal water yoga tonight, so working on my fitness & stretching, & all that fun stuff.
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
It really depends on how tired I am & how much I care. Some mornings I can be ready within a half hour, while others it takes me an hour. This morning was an IDGAF kind of morning, so I took as little time as possible getting myself ready.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant: DH was Mr. Crabbypants this morning before he left for work. I think he needed a nap, or at least a couple more hours of sleep. Rave: I FINALLY POOPED THIS MORNING!! That is all.
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? On a normal day I give myself about an hour to get ready (shower+hair+makeup) since I usually work in a professional setting. I have super long, thick hair - it takes time to tame that shit. However, since my job lately has been confined to the house, I usually just shower and that's it. So 15 minutes.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Still sick with cold. It sucks.

Rave: I finally bought some maternity work pants, jeans and leggings yesterday after my regular Victoria Secret yoga pants were too snug last night. I had a small meltdown, went to Motherhood and got 6 pairs of bottoms and 2 tee shirts for like $150 and now I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. These things are glorious. I don't know how I'll ever go back after I have this baby.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Nothing new. Or at all, really. My Anatomy scan is scheduled for the 28th so I'm super excited about that.

GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? IF I actually get ready, about an hour from bed to out the door with breakfast and making my lunch in between.

Depends on what I'm doing that day, naturally.
Work day takes 5 minutes to put on a warm, clean bathrobe since I telework. If I'm getting dressed to go somewhere presentable, I'll take an hour for shower, makeup, and hair. Errands? Eh, 20 mins.

Rave: Little boy was being a ninja last night while I was trying to fall asleep - such a cool feeling. Also I've got my pre-natal spa package tomorrow afternoon. Its a 45 minute stint in a flotation tank, a foot scrub, and a prenatal massage, sooo pumped.
Rant: I feel like I've been eating way too much the last week or so and need to take it down a notch, but i'm just HUNGRY
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Finally taking all the crap that's been sitting in my nursery-to-be to goodwill or the consignment shop today. Clearing that out slowly but surely!
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? 15-20 minutes if I'm not doing my hair. 40 minutes max if I am doing my hair. I haven't been working lately though so most mornings, I don't even bother with makeup.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Symptoms: I'm having some low back pain this week that I think is actually pelvic pain. It's high butt/low back area and hurts most when I'm sitting. Luckily, I have a sit/stand desk, so I've been up and down all week. But some meetings have been quite painful. Rave: I've pooped 3 days in a row! Thank you Colace and prunes! It's not quite normal but I'll take it at this point.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Still trying to decide if I'll return to work or stay home. I'm leaning more towards staying home which is both exciting and terrifying. Also looking for a prenatal yoga class near my home to help with the back pain.

GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? On work days I give myself a little over an hour to shower, hair, makeup, eat breakfast, make my lunch and go. If I'm working from home or running errands it's much less because I usually just shower and put my hair in a pony tail.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Nothing really, just wishing I would feel the baby move! And I wish I had a real bump... right now I have a minor bump that makes pants uncomfortable. And I wish that I wasn't stuck in this work meeting in which I am not necessary or helpful.... All. Effing. Week.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? I started a registry last night! It only has some crib sheets on it and I think a changing pad, but it's a start!

GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? If I shower, about 45 minutes. If I shower the night before, about 30 minutes. That includes breakfast, packing lunches, and having DH feed the pups. If DH is gone and I have to tend to the dogs, then I normally add about 10 minutes, just to be safe.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant: I am super hungry this morning and want to eat everything and cannot wait until lunch to eat a slice of pizza. Rave: It's almost lunchtime. Andplusalso, we are going to a Dave & Busters (yay, adult arcade!) that just opened with my BIL and his wife and we were texting about getting lunch beforehand and she suggested sushi (back story: They are currently TTC and had a loss in Sept) and I'm ok with that since I don't like any of it with raw fish anyways and then she says "Are you ok eating sushi? They have other menu items too. I'm only going to eat the cooked kind". Does this sound like she was dropping a hint that she might be KU? I mean...she didn't NEED to say she was only going to eat the 'cooked kind'. I would not have noticed if she had said nothing and proceeded to order sushi with only cooked fish. DH and I were talking about this and he says don't call her out on it, if they want to share, they will. But it's like she was throwing me a bone, right?! Anyways, if she is KU, this is so exciting! What do you guys think? I want to ask so bad but she might be waiting to tell our in laws and us together so I don't want to put her in a bad spot. Symptoms: Sore/itchy/cracked nipples, tired, hungry.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Thinking about going to Motherhood Maternity today after work since they have petites at this particular location.
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? About an hour including 15 min 'lollygaggling' on the computer. I'm envious of all of you that don't have to do your hair everyday. Mine gets disgustingly greasy/oily that I can't go one day without washing it and it takes about 10 min to dry.

@Huskerfanz sorry you are still dealing with that cold. Mine still hanging around too. It seems like a cruel joke right. Make it through the first tri and then you get a cold.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rave: My appointment yesterday went great and I have my anatomy scan scheduled for the 27th! So excited. Just want to know all is good with this LO.
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? Well I am a SAHM so it depends if I have time to get dressed before dd wakes. If she beats me to it though , there is no time to even wipe my eyes because she likes her food immediately!
@ahernandez16 - I haven't bought anything maternity wear yet (other than the fact that H got me a belly band for Christmas). I need to just pull the plug and do it already. I'm glad you are more comfortable.
@DeePaddy24 - Prenatal water yoga sounds like HEAVEN!
@Kballew10 - My bump is really weird if it makes you feel any better and I'm also not feeling major movement and I'm 2 weeks ahead of you. I was glad the tech told me about my anterior placenta yesterday....at least it make me feel better about the latter. The bump shape, I can do nothing about but I wish I had the cute rounded bump...mine is more like a lower bump, an indent for my waist and then a teeny upper bump where things are getting squished up into it seems. Blech.

-Rank: Our plumber for our bathroom remodel backed out of doing the job and now we have to find a new guy. I am SICK of this shit. Our bathroom is torn up, plumbers are busy in our area and booking out 1+ month in advance and this guy backed out at the last minute. Rave: So happy to have my A/S picture though...I love looking at it.
What are you doing to prepare for baby?
-More bathroom remodel crap. Sigh. Maybe this weekend I'll buy baby girl something cute to distract myself.
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
-I'm quick because I take showers the night before. I can be up and out the door within 10-15 minutes max. It takes H 45-60 minutes though and we leave together so I end up cleaning up the kitchen in the morning/feeding the dog/doing a few other chores.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant: Hormones can suck it. Rave: I finally get to feel regular kicks! Love them! Oh and I have my level 2 u/s scheduled and my cardiac-specific one scheduled too. Excited to see this kid again!
Symptoms: Tiredness has come back, but I'm also waking in the middle of the night, which is probably why, itchy boobs, cranky.

GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? FOREVER. Getting myself ready takes maybe 20-25 max. Then there are two kids to dress, feed, brush teeth, make lunches and get out the door and that takes an hour at least. I get out of bed at 6:30 and am out the door by 7:45 at the latest, but I feel like the Tasmanian devil the entire time. Remind me why I think I can manage three?
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? I was feeling really emotional this morning/worrying about everything. We just have a lot going on right now but after some Prenatal Pilates in feeling i'm feeling a little better.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rave: Finally feeling some good baby kicks this week! Still not consistent, but happy to have them there. And anatomy scan is next week! Rant: Moving, cleaning, packing and organizing are the worst. I'm super excited to move back home, but not looking forward to all the work the next few weeks will bring.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? After our anatomy scan, we'll probably get a few things, but not much yet. Once we move, I'll evaluate everything we have and what we need to get back that others borrowed!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Raves - doctor's office called and said my AFP blood test was negative. I suddenly feel all emotional and weepy, in a good way. Damn pregnancy hormones! Excited for our anatomy scan in 3 weeks - yay!
Rant - I think I might go tell my boss today, really no reason I'm putting it off at this point, just being lazy... but, the belly is going to give me away soon.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Buying all the clothes! I need to stop in case she turns into a he before the a/s... but, I've saved receipts and left on tags for all new stuff... so many good deals & cute stuff!!

GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? Between 45 min to an hour. I'm lucky that my mom comes to me for childcare. If I had to wake, dress, feed and pack for my two children, on top of getting myself ready, I can't even imagine how long it would take me, but it would be rough!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Slept pretty good last night, but I'm still so congested and achy. My eyes are also really sore today. Is that a pregnancy symptom even?!

GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? Oh wow, loaded questions. Depends entirely on my motivation. I can pull myself together in 15 minutes if I need to, but I will look a mess. Upwards of an hour if I make the effort to properly do my hair, make-up and make sure my outfit is presentable. And that's just me! Lord, I can't even imagine when kids are thrown into the mix too.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Not much new... I am getting more tired again this week - I thought I was passed that in first tri! But by 9pm keeping my eyes open is a serious struggle this week.

GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? If I shower the night before or am just doing a quick body shower/not washing my hair I can be out the door in under 20 minutes fully dressed & in makeup. If I'm blowdrying my hair etc. probably 40 minutes... unless its summer & then its a wet head and I can be out the door super quickly because I usually only wear dresses in the summer & they make getting ready super quick too!
@BakerBird525 I would not ask her, if she has something to tell you - she will tell you!! I remember how nerve wracking hiding it was the first month or so - I wouldn't put more pressure on her especially after a loss! Hopefully she will have great news that shes bursting to tell you herself!

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? I get tired out of nowhere. Naps are my new best friend.

GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? I work in a super laid back setting where sweats are honestly acceptable as long as a big name speaker isn't coming that day and even then if you sit in the back/look tired enough no one cares. I shower at night and pull my hair back into a pony tail in the morning. I can be up and out the door in 15 minutes easily. I think the bigger part of my morning is gathering up all the dog's crap to bring upstairs for the day since if he can see the front door when he's alone, he howls (solution - gating him upstairs).
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? 1.5 more days until a 3 day weekend!! An odd symptom is I blush really easily now. It's pretty embarrassing. I googled it and its somewhat common during pregnancy due to increased blood volume.

About 20 minutes in regards to getting dressed, doing my makeup, "doing my hair" (ponytail). Another 20-30 for taking the dogs out, making my lunch, and eating breakfast.

I'm up before 5am and then I wake DD at 5:30. We're out the house by 6:15. Let's say 1.5 hours for the two of us.

Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Feeling pretty good minus the not sleeping good at all. Also feeling baby kick and move some!
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Not much, trying to sell a lot of my toddlers clothes to keep from having to mess with consignment.
GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? On a workday that I have to drop the toddler off somewhere I am up at 5:30 and leave by 7:20 (shower, hair, makeup, clothes, lunch for both, breakfast for both, and toddler dressed and hair fixed) and usually make a little time to watch the news. On the days I don't have to drop the toddler off I usually sleep until 6:30 and shower, eat, hair, makeup & get dressed and out the door by 7:30... I have a problem of finding other things to do while I should be getting ready.
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? Rant: This has been SUCH a long week and I'm sick but don't know what it is. I can not breathe. It feels like I'm only able to breathe threw a straw. Went to urgent care Monday night who sent me to ER. ER then tells me my EKG was abnormal and shows signs of a heart attack. Um what??? 31 yrs old and had a heart attack. WTH. Needless to say, I do have heart damage but may never know why or how it happened. It was an incidental finding. I still can't breathe though. Going to see my PCP in the AM.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Saturday we are having a family dinner at my parents house and DH and I will be telling my sisters and their children. At that point, pretty much everyone will start to find out. I do not want to post anything on FB though. I'm seriously debating closing my account. I just don't like it.

GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? I don't do make up that much, only for special days. I have long straight hair too so I don't do much to get ready. Maybe 20 minutes max.

Rant- One of my associates is nuts. And I'm getting to the end of my patience rope...she thinks very one needs to know everything about her life and if you don't then that means you don't want care about her. Typically I'd say, okay well I don't care and move on. But I'm her boss and I have to work with her day in and day out and she can go off her crazy meter with the snap of her fingers (she's also 20 (and an immature 20 year old at that) so that doesn't help...anyway, I'm just sick of having to deal with her day in and day out. End rant.
Rave- We have a comp day tomorrow so no school and that means no work! 3 day weekend! Woo!

From the start of my alarm to leaving... An hour or so...I could definitely go quicker, I'm just real slow in the morning!
Rant/Rave/Symptoms? I've been trying to do more healthy, home cooking (save money, eat more nutritiously, yadda yadda) but I had kind of a frustrating day today, so when my 3yo fell asleep in the car on the way home, I was all, "Screw it. Taco Bell." Ate it in my car in the parking lot while she slept. And it was glorious.
What are you doing to prepare for baby? Eating, apparently.

GTKY: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? If it's a day my DD goes to preschool, I just focus on getting her ready (potty, breakfast, dressed appropriately, teeth brushed, a little playtime, then out the door) and I go through the drop-off line in my PJs. Then I come home and take a nice, leisurely shower, dress, and put on minimal makeup. If I need to do my hair, it takes me about 40-45 minutes altogether. If not doing hair that day, about 30 minutes.
