What are you measuring?!?!

Now that there's light at the end of the tunnel for us, I thought it might be fun to post our measurements here. I know it varies greatly and doesn't necessarily mean anything going to happen in the super near future, but for me to hear that things are progressing was a relief! I'm 36 weeks today and got my first cervical exam. Although it was more painful than I anticipated, I was super excited about the exam! I wanted to know if anything is happening down there cause I'm definitely feeling new aches and pains. my cervix is 50%thinned out... Yay! No dilation, but that's ok.

35+4 and I'm 1cm. She had to really try to get to my cervix and said nothing is happening any time soon.

I was checked a few weeks ago because I was having a lot of contractions. I was 1 cm. We'll see tomorrow what/if these contractions have been doing since.

I haven't been checked yet. I'm 35 weeks 2d but I have a apt next week and I'll know then. Hopefully I'm at least 1cm

At 34 weeks I was 1cm. I have another appointment next Monday (36 weeks) and I'm hoping I've progressed even more

Not getting checked until next week, but he has been hanging out very low lately and I've started to have menstrual-type cramping. So we will see.

Yesterday I was measured, @ 35wks, 5 days, at 1 cm. Doctor said it means I could go deliver early but with no guarantee...

Haven't been checked yet, not sure if my midwife will check me at my appointment on Thursday or not. With DS1 I was dilated to a 3 from like 34 weeks until the day I was induced. I didn't progress beyond that before I went in for my induction.

I had my 36w appt today (I am 36w2d) and I am not dilated at all but have a soft cervix and baby boy is head down. I've been having a lot of braxton hicks contractions and some cramping, we'll see.

34+3 and 1cm. Dr said I could go soon or in February. With all the contractions I've been having, I'm hoping it's sooner because 5+ weeks of this constant contracting and discomfort sounds really un-fun.

I'm 36w1d and baby - supposedly- already weighs 7lbs 9 oz. I hope the ultrasound measurements are wrong because that's one big baby! I'm blaming my husband because he's the big one and I've gained the exact amount of weight my doctor said people should- so not my fault! Lol
Anyway, I'm not dialated yet. I asked my doctor if I should be by 36 weeks and she said no. She said some women are but it doesn't reflect how soon or late you'll go into labor. Not sure if she's right and I hope I go full term to 40 weeks but I hope not much later because he's already huge.

I haven't been checked yet and probably won't be until about 38 weeks unless i ask to be checked. I'm 35w2d currently. with #2 i was checked at 35 weeks and i was 2cm dilated and didn't have him until 39w2d. So anything is possible with babies. don't get your hopes up too high.

As of my 36 week appointment 2 days ago, cervix is soft, but only 1/2 cm dilated. Baby is measuring in the 75th percentile at 6lbs 14oz.

At my 36th week I'm measuring 35 cm which doctor said is fine. She said baby girl is probably 5lbs she estimates and that there is no dilatation just thinning of my cervix which is right on track

I went yesterday for week 37 check up, same as last week-50% thinned! I was so bummed. I have been really uncomfortable and feeling like I was getting kicked in the vagina. I was sure it would mean there had been more progress-nope, just uncomfortable!

Monday at 35 weeks 5 days I was 3CM dilated and 70% effaced! Dr. is predicting within the next week or so? There were accurate last time around so I am hoping they are this time:)

I was checked at 35 weeks 4 days and nada. No contractions and not even much in the way of Braxton Hicks either.

I was checked yesterday because I've been having tons of Braxton Hicks and some of them have been pretty painful, but no dilation or effacement.

Yesterday at 35w 1d I was 70% effaced, 1 1/2cm dilated and baby is very low. Hoping these next few weeks pass quickly!

Checked on Tuesday at 36w4d and was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. She said the baby's head was down and right at the base of the cervix. No contractions, but cramping here and there. I'm pretty sure my mucus plug came out this morning.

36w2d FTM 3cm dilated, 50% effaced, mucus plug gone and soft cervix. I have been having frequent surges (not more than 5x per hour though) and frequent pressure in vaginal area. Midwife thinks labor could become active in 1.5-3 weeks. I don't expect to reach my due date... But you never know!

Checked at 36w1d and was 1cm dilated, 25% effaced, and vertex -2 position. We were so low they couldn't measure baby girls head. I was so excited until I googled and found out that most are dilated and effaced for weeks before labor.

36 weeks & 3 days. 3 cm dilated & 60% effaced. Contractions on & off daily. Based on my history, dr is predicting his arrival in the next 2 weeks. I'm not mentally prepared for 2 under 2 just yet

Finally got checked today. 37 weeks 1d. I'm 1cm dilated but she said my cervix is high. I know my little man will not come anytime soon. My other 3 kids all came past EDD and I was 1cm with each at 36 weeks.

36.5 weeks and I measured at 4 cm dilated. I stayed at 3 cm for three weeks before being induced with DS1 so we will see when this baby wants to make his debut.

Finally went in today since December. I'm 36 weeks and 2 days. baby girl is 0% effaced and 0cm

only good news was she had indeed dropped (had no idea) and was head down. Looks like I'll be right and she most likely won't be coming any time before the edd.

4cm 60% effaced at 37 weeks. So making good progress from last week. They don't think I will make it to my next appointment Monday. I hope they are correct. These contractions are not fun.

My doctor finally gave me some numbers to work with at 36w6d. She said I'm almost 1 cm and the baby is weighing between 6.5 and 7 pounds. She said for 3 weeks before my EDD, I'm looking pretty good for a FTM!

37w4d and baby is hanging in there! No more pelvic exams so we won't know any more progress unless we go past EDD or until surges are regular and under 5 min.
