alright so, I conceived on April 28th. My boyfriend and I broke up April 26th. 1 week and 1 day later after i conceived I slept with someone else. I was already 8 days pregnant & I used protection. My midwife and home nurse says there is no way that this is the other guys child. Can I get some other thoughts please? I'm 20 days from my due date and it's on my mind a lot more now

If you were already pregnant and your midwife says the other guy is not the dad, I would go with that.

Other thoughts: stop sleeping with guy after guy whether you're using protection or not. It gives you a bad image. If you're not sure who the father is (or having issues that cause you to legally need to know) then get a DNA test done.

I guess I also don't understand your dates.... are you meaning that you had 3 partners very close together or that you and your boyfriend (ex) had sex, two days later his sperm implanted into your egg and you got pregnant and then a week later you slept with partner #2? Due dates using LMPs are not 100% accurate. They assume you are on the same 28 day ovulation cycle (which not everyone is). You need to get a paternity test done once baby is born to determine who the father is.

Who makes better money and is more reliable for child support? That's who the father is. (I'm kidding, of course).

Go with what your MW thinks for now, but get a paternity test after delivery.

When did you get your positive? If it was a day or two after sex with #2 then I don't think there would have been enough time to implant and send out the hormones to your system.

I'd also trust your midwife but for sure get a DNA test after baby arrives.

Also @camusoh2011 .... a "bad image"?? Is this the 50s? Don't shame her for sleeping with multiple people- that's her business.

I'm not shaming her. I'm saying it looks bad to have slept with multiple men within weeks of each other. Sorry you don't like my opinion, but she asked for other thoughts and I'm gonna give mine.

This made me laugh extra hard because when my friend was pregnant this is EXACTLY what she said when anyone asked who the father was! She did know, but I guess he was a loser and essentially declined being a father (like that's really a choice) so she makes jokes and doesn't tell people. His loss!

Saying that something "looks bad" isn't trying to make her feel ashamed? Not like she could do anything about it now anyways.

She didn't ask for opinions on if she should have slept with two different people within a few weeks of each other, but you are right everyone gets to share their opinions.

Be upset all you want about it. That's my thoughts. She put it out in an online forum asking what people though. I offered my advice on her situation. I find it odd that someone who joined back in October is just now making her first two posts today and they both seem a little silly (in my opinion) so I'm not going to get my panties in a bunch about it.

Am I the only one that clicked on this thinking someone had actually given birth and looking forward to a cute baby? Not the screenplay for Maury...
I mean no offense ladies, but why are there like 5 posts almost to this exact degree from random people on here..? We DONT KNOW. We aren't able to do a DNA test on your unborn baby over the Internet. If you used protection and you're sure this isn't the other persons child than what was the point? It seems to only be drawing negative attention.

Yeah, you didn't conceive on the day you think you did if you're due in 20 days. So that baby is most definitely that random other guy's

That's interesting! My period was short (lasted 3 days) so maybe I will deliver late 8-10 or you may deliver early 3-8 *gasp!* only a few more weeks

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand the question.. Are you asking if based on the info you provided, we think the baby is your ex-bfs or the other guys?
As PPs have said, the only sure way to tell is a paternity test. But if you say you used protection with the other guy..and the condom didn't break..chances are the baby didn't come from him. Try not to stress about it too much right now. it can all be figured out. But make sure you do get it figured out after baby is born for the fathers sake.

I keep telling myself I'll deliver late so I'm not disappointed, but man do I hope it's early. There was/is so much pressure on my pelvis and back that I spent all night doubled over. I have short period normally, so we will see! It's kind of exciting how many different due dates there are for people with the same LMP.

My friend had an open bar at her wedding.. I only remember the bartenders name, but I do remember what happened after..I keep saying it's her fault I'm pregnant

but I think that's when her wedding was too!! Congratulations by the way!
