I'd love to hear what others with SPD have been told by Their doctors about earlier than normal membrane stripping or induction.
I'll discuss this with my Dr. at my next appointment, I'll be 37+5. I'm praying he'll strip my membranes to see if it jump starts labor. As of a few days ago, baby is at a station -1/0 and I'm dilated to 1, so I do think it could work.
I'm absolutely miserable and in constant, excruciating pain that I pray every day I'll go into labor, even though I'm only 36 weeks. (For the record, yes I know it's best to let baby stay in as long as possible) I have a 5 year old and 2 year old that I can barely care for due to my limited mobility. I just want some relief.
Do you think dr's see this as a reason to jump start labor?
Re: SPD and earlier membrane stripping
But I will say that I'm 39+2 today and the last couple weeks my spd pain has been almost non existent except when I'm sleeping. So there may be hope that it might go away if you don't even up going into labor. I'm sorry
THREE Times!
It didn't work to put me into labor, but my labor was super short (5 hours), not sure if it helped? My Dr. won't do it until 38 weeks - but I'm not sure if I want to do it this time. IMO, it hurts like a bitch.
