The nurse at my pediatrician gave me a sample and explained that breastfed babies need to supplement 400 IU of Vitamin D because they do not get enough sunlight to produce it effectively themselves. However, I try to get outside with Odie for at least thirty minutes every day. This is more for my well being then his at this point because I love to be outside, however, I cannot find anything anywhere that says how much sun a baby needs to negate the supplement.
Have you ladies used Vitamin D? My mom says that her summer babies did not use it but her winter babies did... I am just super confused.
