All the things. Rough morning, sick toddler, left breakfast at home, people not showing up for meetings. Mostly saying WTF to myself and my inability to get it together!!!
The weather. I don't want to go anywhere once it gets into the single digits and below. I'm pretty sure I just need to start hibernating through winter.
The other night we were at our friends house and we wanted to tell them our news. When they offered us drinks I said I would take a sprite. DH goes "she has to watch her caffeine intake now," with a big smile on his face. Our friend goes, "Why? Do you have diabetes?" I was like.......what? I consider myself pretty healthy. It just really threw me off. Wtf?
It is 16 degrees outside with a real feel of -1 degree. Our furnace is still broken at work and it is going to be 4-5 days before the furnace man can get the part to fix it!
My coworker called in sick yesterday and sent an email last night announcing she's working from home today even though you must ask for permission and they normally don't let you (obviously that part irked me). Part of me doesn't understand working from home when you're sick. If I'm sick, I'm too sick to work and I'm staying home and most likely sleeping. It makes me think you just have the sniffles and are fine to work, but just want to sit on the couch as you do so. Is this a crazy thought?

I'd be thanking this person. I wish more people would call out sick when they have a cold and are contagious. Having a cold (sneezing, coughing, runny nose, mild aches) probably wouldn't prevent you from doing office work. I hate when people come in all disgusting and spread their germs everywhere when they should be at home. I don't want to get a cold, especially while pregnant.

I agree. I hate using sick days if I'm not well enough to be in an office but not sick enough to miss work. Luckily I work from home now and I only need to take sick days to either care for my 2 year old if he's sick or the few times a year I'm down with chills fever fatigue the works. Days of tummy troubles it horrible cough that would annoy co workers - I get to keep working and save the days for vacation ( or in this case, maternity leave).

@I9i I'm with PinkLady2015. Last summer I got sick twice because I worked in the same office with someone who kept coming to work sick. My boss was all, "Oh, look how dedicated he is, coming into work sick," but he got half of the team sick and if he had stayed home for a day or two, he would have been healthy again faster without getting the team sick.
Feeling so uninspired by my job. My sector of our business has been very slow lately, and I work in a position where I have a low base salary and rely on commissions on top of that. When business is slow then I'm only making my base, and it's boring to boot. Plus I'm so distracted by the pregnancy that I'm kind of checked out mentally. My boss is supposed to do sales and drive up new business but she has her hands full with a big project lately. I would be looking for other jobs if I weren't pregnant. I can't imagine leaving my baby in a day care center (and paying a lot for day care) to come sit here and do this every day. I hope things pick up soon. I am tempted to just resign when I have the baby, but our company has some paid maternity leave and I want that! So I'll probably end up doing the rather unethical thing of taking my leave and then coming back briefly and then quitting.

If you had diabetes, Sprite would be a really poor drink choice...

But see that's my point. If I'm contagious, hacking all over the place constantly, some stomach bug that keeps you in the bathroom, or even have a killer migraine and stay home I'm going to be resting up.

I hate everyone I work with this week....and I'm so tired, I can't bring myself to cook which is a huge bummer because I usually love to cook. I feel like such a slug!
In non-WTF news, I finally had my first dr appointment on Monday, everything was perfect so I am eternally grateful. I would gladly deal with shitty takeout/frozen food and annoying coworkers for the next seven months if it means everything else will go well.
The doctor called me and said we need to talk about my blood work. They couldn't get me in today so I have to wait until tomorrow afternoon. Wtf but hey don't stress
My dog is super excited about the 6 inches of snow we got yesterday - so she's making a mess, and demanding to spend waaaaaay more time outside than I would prefer at 16 degrees. Normally she is a princess about the cold.

Maybe they can't give any results over the phone, good or bad and it's their policy to speak in person. Good luck and I hope everything is alright!

My husband's lawyer and his ex's lawyer went to court today over child support and custody and I'm SO PISSED right now! Our lawyer called my husband telling him that he was granted joint (50/50) custody BUT that he will have to pay $290/month to her in child support. When I looked at the worksheet her lawyer filled out, it has my husband making $150/week MORE than he actually brings home, and they only listed her hourly pay, even though she makes most of her money on commission. I just sent an e-mail to OUR lawyer, who's currently out of the office, explaining that his Gross income is wrong, the taxes they listed are well below what the paystubs show, and his net pay is over $600/month off. I really hope we don't end up having to pay her almost $300/month based on incorrect information. We have their son 50% of the time and I truly don't believe child support should even be ordered in cases where the parents share equal parenting time.

@nerdygangsta I'm so sorry, I'd be freaking out, too. I'm going to second what smilormarie said -- your doctor's office might not discuss results over the phone. They could also just need more blood work.

There are plenty of illnesses where someone is contagious but still with-it enough to work. Pink eye, sinus infections, bad colds, etc. are all highly contagious but people can easily work through them. I need to save my sick leave for maternity leave, not for when I have the sniffles and don't want to spread it to my entire office. There are sometimes meetings or deadlines that I just can't miss, but I can work on while at home. Why would you want someone to have a sick day, where they don't get anything done, instead of working from home? At least if they're working from home they're doing something.

I have this co-worker who is totally toxic and it is making me negative and angry after work. This is supposed to be a happy time in my life, but somehow I am letting her make my life miserable. Now...to figure out how to ignore someone when you spend 8+ hours a day with them...

I am so sick and exhausted, this pregnancy is kicking my butt. My DH is out of town for the next 2 weeks and I am dreading this weekend taking care of my 2 littles without him =( I can barely make myself dinner let alone do any of the chores I have been putting off. I keep telling myself I will feel better soon but I am dragging!
@Allisun85 My dog is the same way. It's around 10 degrees outside and he is refusing to come in. Granted, he is a Bernese Mountain Dog, but I feel like it's too cold for him to be outside all day long.
This has nothing to do with baby, but my fiancé's best friend's ex texted me today. The two of us have stayed in contact a little but today she told me she was engaged and wanted me to be a bridesmaid. It was definatly a WTF moment.
Had a co worker assume something today and come at me in a passive aggressive manner.... I thought wtf? And then I told her what was up. I'm a cranky pregnant woman this time around. Of course they don't know that yet. Lol
my WTF is the lady that called at 4:58 today wanting to talk to me and then proceeded to bitch me out about something that had literally NOTHING to do with me. I understand she was frustrated, but don't bitch to me. Really put me in a bad mood and it made me forget to stop at the bank to get out cash for the powerball tonight... grrr.
