Weeks/fruit - 36 weeks, we are all getting so close!
Girl/Boy/Surprise - Surprise
Symptoms/cravings - I'm back once again on the heartburn bus. I've also started sleeping really poorly, and I'm having a lot of pelvic pain. Baby is moving around like a crazy person, but the doctor said it's head down. We can only be happy about that
Rants/raves - I'm really just trying to stay positive this time around. With #2, I was so peeved when baby didn't come when I thought it should. This time I'm keeping a level head and just trying to enjoy my last pregnancy even if there are times that it sucks.
Doctor Appointments - I have one this afternoon. I'm pretty sure it's just going to be a normal appointment, nothing exciting. I had my Group B Strep test, and my Tdap shot last week. That was a super exciting appointment! I'm going every week now and I think my doctor will start doing cervical checks either at my next appointment or the following one.
GTKY - What do you have left to do from your to-do list for baby? - I have to find and wash all our baby clothes - get out our bottles and sterilize them - Find the Rock in Play - Finish setting things up in the nursery (which we just moved DS in with DD last weekend) - Pack my hospital bag I've still got a ton to do! Hopefully baby stays in another 3 weeks at least
Symptoms/cravings - Congestion, heartburn, urge to pee, no focus at work, still some itchiness in my hands/feet
Rants/raves - Getting to see some of my Nestie Besties this weekend. They're driving in for a baby shower they're throwing me and I can't wait to see them! Finally bought my first pair of maternity pants and OMG they are amazing. Can someone tell me why I waited so long??
Doctor Appointments - Had one today - NST looked great. Some uterine contracting activity but nothing I could feel. Another one next week w/ u/s and will check cervix to see if I'm dilated any
GTKY - What do you have left to do from your to-do list for baby? The biggest thing is finish packing my hospital bag. I bought a ton of travel sized toiletries yesterday and actually have to put some clothing in there.
Get the swing set up Like purplepenguin3, I still do have to sanitize the bottles.
Symptoms/cravings - Same old pelvic pain, insomnia. I had what I think was a gallbladder attack on Friday...no fun:( Oh and I've started having LOTS more of the kind of lighting crotch zingers that I only get when baby is head down and low - so I'll take em as a good sign!
Rant- DH is away for the week and both kids are sick. Rave - I'm hoping I found a recliner for the nursery on a FB BST group! I've never been able to sleep in our glider, and I'm hoping I'll be able to lean back a little more in this during MOTN nursing sessions and be able to sleep a little.
Doctor Appointments - My doctor has unfortunate vacation timing coming up, so my appointments are going to be at 35 weeks (last week), 37 weeks, and 39 weeks. I mean, I know nothing that exciting happens at the appointments anyway, and my babies have come after 41 weeks, but the type A in me is like, "But. You go every week after 36." I know I could sneak in with another doc if I'm having any concerns, so I'm not going to stress.
GTKY - What do you have left to do from your to-do list for baby? I need to get the chair and a dresser for the nursery. I would love to actually decorate it to make it look cute, but I think that's just going to have to wait until later on - I don't have the energy:/
@purplepenguin3 I hear you on trying to stay positive. Each pregnancy I convince myself that the baby will probably come early, even though it doesn't seem to be the way my body works. Why can't I get it through my head that it's better to expect to have to wait!!
@purplepenguin3 I did! I'm plus size and I couldn't find anything to fit me in any of my local stores (either waaay too big or small) so I finally bit the bullet and ordered some online and omg, so comfy. But I lost about 21 lbs in 1st/2nd tri and then I had room to grow in my normal jeans/work pants (which my dress pants were already a little big in the waist to begin with).
I've also been recording my weight on my phone from each appointment and I've basically been the same weight +/- 3 ounces for the past 2 months. So I'm still losing but whatever I'm losing baby boy is making up for and gaining so I'm staying very consistent and I'm still 20 lbs less than my pre-pregnancy weight.
My belly has also been looking more like that 1st tri "i look like I just ate too much pizza" phase so in the past few weeks I've really started to finally protrude and actually look pregnant. Last week my CW said "this is the first time you've looked pregnant this whole time"
Symptoms/cravings - Lots of lower pressure now with her being head down, baby girl has hiccups all the time, and no room I feel like! Back continues to hurt way too much.
Rants/raves - Stressing at work. Having way too much to do and my substitute has not been trained well at all. But, I have my hospital bag is packed and I am pumped!
Doctor Appointments - We had an appointment last night and the dr said we were measuring small. He said not to be too concerned, but we have an ultrasound in two weeks so that will be good, but I just wish it were sooner.
GTKY - What do you have left to do from your to-do list for baby? So much! We haven't had our shower yet so we really don't have anything. We need to clean out the nursery and rip up the rug, paint and put flooring down. I do have the bag packed, but I am still freaking out about everything else!
Symptoms/Cravings: lower back ache, gas pains, heartburn, swollen ankles, pelvic pressure
Rants/Raves: Rant- work is intense and I'm stressed - I can't wait til maternity leave! Rave- went to get my car seat installed and had a safety lesson. It was really informative and I'm really glad we did it despite the fact that hospitals do it for free. The lady who does it consults with manufacturers and participates in safety testing of car seats so I feel so much more confident.
Doctors appointments: had one today... Met another doctor in the practice in case she is there the day I deliver. She was nice but I feel more confident in my own doctor. Had a cervical check and cervix is still closed- which she said was normal for 37 weeks
GTKY: I'm pretty much all done with baby prep. I have to figure out how my baby carriers work. They look really complicated. Then, I have a baby CPR class with my husband and mom this weekend. I'm also still waiting for my breast pump to arrive.
Sorry, yesterday was extremely hectic for me. Here's mine for the week
Weeks/fruit - 37 / Winter Melon
Girl/Boy/Surprise - Boy
Symptoms/cravings - Carpal tunnel, insomnia, hip pain
Rants/raves - Raves - had a shower yesterday put on by my coworkers, it was so sweet! They all went in on a large gift card for us, so I went on a little shopping spree last night at Target and pretty much cleared out the remaining items on our registry, and still have like half the gift card to spare. Score!
Rants - cannot for the life of me sleep until my alarm goes off in the morning. So uncomfortable!
Doctor Appointments - Went yesterday morning, NST on Friday morning, another one Tuesday, and a growth u/s next week on Wednesday to see if Butch has grown any. I think after that my doctor will make his final decision on if I'm being induced at 39 weeks or not.
GTKY - What do you have left to do from your to-do list for baby?
pack hospital & diaper bags
make "padcicles" - bought most of the products needed yesterday, but my Target didn't have any witch hazel, so I ordered it on Amazon..just waiting for it to arrive tomorrow
Make some freezer meals
Clean more of the house
install car seat base in H's car
H to get his flu and tdap shots (he better on his day off tomorrow or I'm going to be livid)
I had my doctor's appointment yesterday and it turns out that i'm positive for Group B strep. I've never had it before with either of my 2 previous pregnancies. #3 is throwing me for a loop! I guess it's antibiotics for me
Because the bump has been so hard for me lately I'm not going to follow format sorrynotsorry
I'm 36 weeks and a day late doing this with a boy. Stabbing pains in my cervix that sucks, heartburn, hip pain, general discomfort and headaches. My rant is my 2.5 year old suddenly thinks he can night nurse after being night weaned for weeks. I'm so tired from arurging with him at night. Today I have my first weekly appointment.
GTKY: Pack a just in case bag Pack diaper bag Install carseat (not until next week) Pick up pool and accessories Do home tour with midwife
