My crockpot is winning these days. I use it all the time lately because it's so easy to dump stuff in and then have it be ready for dinner with minimal effort.
MH. After relating the hellishness that has been every single morning with my son, I woke up (late!) to my toddler fully dressed and happily watching Curious George, bag packed for daycare, tea made and by the bed, car warmed up, bagel in the toaster and a kiss on the forehead before he headed to work. I seriously had to check the calendar to see if it was my birthday or an anniversary or something! It was just the nicest start to the morning I could ever imagine! So, I am making his favorite dinner tonight and using my 1/2 day at work to clean the entire house and make sure he has a relaxing end to the day. It actually works sometimes having one be the early bird (MH) and one be the night owl (me).

Damn! Can we trade for a day. Lol just kidding... My H is pretty great, but he never wakes up early with DD to get her ready!
Sort of a double-post from HDBD because I forgot we have winning Wednesdays earlier. 1. My school district called a 2-hr delay for ice. Hooray for more planning time! (I still have to report...but I have a shorter day with students.) 2. I was able to time defrosting my car with a radio station's daily trivia game this morning. It was my first time ever trying to call in. I got through, answered 4 questions and won $40! 3. DS and DH were both cuddle bugs yesterday evening. It was wonderful because I was so tired, so we just had a family couch reading, napping, movie-watching pow-wow after dinner. 4. I'm getting some major thumps from LO and we reach viability tomorrow! I'm hoping that I don't go into labor until 39 weeks like I did with DS. ETA: 5. The 9th grade class I have next semester that was slated to have 32 students was cut to 24 students today. I can only reasonably fit 28 in my classroom, so I'm breathing a huge sigh of relief.
Working from home today and I finally figured out the solution to an issue I've been battling for a week. I think I'm more productive at home. I think I should make a case regarding that with my team lead.
The maternity underwear I ordered from Motherhood Maternity is winning, it is so effing comfortable. I seriously didn't quite realize how uncomfortable I was before!
My husband vacuumed yesterday for the first time since we moved into our house (1.5 years ago)!! He always cleans the kitchen and his office, and I clean everything else. Coming home to a clean living room and vacuumed floors was biggest surprise ever! And now I feel so old for being excited about this.
My toddler is winning today! We're on day 4 of potty training (the bane of parenthood) and he's on day two of no accidents! I'm sure it is only a matter of time, but for now we are celebrating (with Sour Patch Kids)!
This morning I forgot my lunch on the kitchen counter.... but my boss ordered pizzas and breadsticks for everyone!!! Free lunch + cheesy breadsticks= WINNING
My H is winning. He surprised me with a fuzzy steering wheel cover yesterday.
We also both got amazing job offers yesterday. Which we're considering because it would be a lot of sacrifice to take both of them; but the fact that we got considered for the jobs is a pretty sweet win. And on the same day too!
I put this in my TTT yesterday, but I'm still winning - I won because my neighbor gave me a garbage bag full of maternity clothes, and so far, they all fit! (she's a size 2, and I'm a 6, at least). I hate to spend money on clothes that will only be worn until May/June! Then again, I probably wore my maternity yoga pants for another year after the twins were born
ETA - I also appreciate the neighbor who shoveled our sidewalk yesterday!!
Mama to Three Girls: Twins born March 2014 at 26 weeks due to preterm labor and our 37weeker born May 9th, 2016!
DH. He's been such a trooper with my emotions. I go from tears to being fine to snapping at him. Poor guy. And I've been putting off vacuuming my car because it's been 5 degrees here in WI the last few days - he goes outside to do it yesterday and I go to object....he kisses my belly and says "keep him warm in here". Instant waterworks!

Ah! Brazilian steakhouses while pregnant are heavenly! I had crazy meat cravings with DS and we went to one. I think it's the only time on record that I ate as much as DH. Congratulations on your anniversary too!
On Monday, I handled a trip to Target and the pet store on my own without getting sick. Yesterday, DH and I started moving furniture and books out of my office so we can use it for the nursery, also without me getting sick (though I did have to take a few water/snack breaks). Tonight, I'm headed out to see some friends I haven't seen since October because of how severe my hyperemesis was. Not feeling sick today either! As far as I'm concerned, this whole week is winning.
FINALLY got approved by an ob here in VA and have my first appt with that office the 26th. I was starting to get worried as I dropped my records off at this particular office almost 3 weeks ago and they advised me that they'd have to have their NP review my records and approve me as a patient due to being past 20 weeks upon request. WINNING!
Two of the dance costumes for my classes came in and the girls got to try them on and they look amazing! One of them is the greatest red tutu with flames on it, everything about that costume is winning!
Like always my DH is winning as well. My husband works second shift and when he came to get home after midnight this morning he found our road to not be plowed and he couldn't get through. So after sitting in his car at the end of the road for awhile and still no plow truck DH drove half an hour to his moms house to stay the night. The poor thing only slept for maybe four hours before waking up, driving home and getting our driveway snowblowed so I could get to work. After getting ours done he went and cleaned our neighbors as well. DH was winning this morning for sure
DH and I had date night tonight at our favorite neighborhood place that we were regulars at in a former life. As soon as we walked in, the manager came running over to hug us and catch up.
Winning for amazing food, spending much-needed quality time with DH, and seeing old acquaintances. And they gave us an adorable mini apron for DS that says "junior sous chef" that he's going to love wearing playing with his new kitchen from Christmas on our way out.
This is a winning wednesday following my TW tuesday!!!!! We do have a spare key to my car and I found it today!! Yey for not spending crazy amounts of money on having new keys sent or having the car towed and having a new ignition put in!!! This would have been the most expensive case of pregnancy brain ever.
I'm winning! I think I found our day care provider! In home, very affordable, BS in early childhood education, very structured environment, CPR certified and all that good stuff and she'll have am opening in August!!!
Lovely hubby made a weeks healthy food menu and went to grocery store in the snow when I was at yoga last night. Then picked me up from class! Maybe it's because yesterday's menu of three bagels (brekkie lunch dinner) chocolate and chips isn't the recommended diet for bubba?!! Edit to add: I did take a vitamin pill tho so all square?!
I know it is Thursday, but this actually happened yesterday so it still applies. I had a meeting with our business director to discuss my maternity leave and she started off by saying "I have been informed, in no uncertain terms by no less than 5 people, one of whom is my boss, to 'give you whatever you want' in order to make sure that you come back." I was floored! She said that anytime she mentioned that she was meeting with me, my principal, nurse leader, director of student services, the assistant superintendent and the superintendent all told her to do whatever fancy math she would have to do to make sure I got the best deal possible and therefore had the most incentive to come back next school year. And, I must say, she made it work! I am getting paid until the end of the school year (not sure how!) and my benefits, seniority, and tenure will not be affected, even if I choose to extend my leave by up to one whole school year. Obviously, I will not be getting paid if I take an extra year off, but I will have my pick of any school in the district when I choose to return. I was speechless and just thanked her, but after talking with MH, I might push my luck a little and see if I can get my son into the preschool, even though we don't live in district...hey, she did say to call her if I wanted ANYTHING else!
Seriously, if I can get my son into the preschool as a model for free and only have to pay for the baby's daycare, plus get to take advantage of the anticipated pay increases, it would be totally worth it! Winning!
Re: Winning Wednesday 1/13/16
My husband. All day, every day. I am a scary ball of emotion that he manages to juggle with great skill.

Edited- mobile sucks
...granted I totally failed to finish editing the brief I was supposed to do at work today, but that's what tomorrow's for.
