When I found out I was pregnant I was super excited and told imidiate family. My sister in law now thinks I have an attention disorder and has caused a lot of trouble between me and my husband. I'm lost of what to do!
An attention disorder for telling your family your great news? Wow! Your SIL sounds like a right weapon! How exactly is she causing trouble between you and your husband?
We waited until 8 weeks to tell immediate family last time (even though I wanted to wait until 9 or 10 weeks) and this time around hubby is moving more in my direction. I told him I'd be fine telling at 9 weeks but he said maybe we'd wait to have the genetic testing done at 12 weeks.
I think your sister in law may have some jealousy issues. If you want to try to make peace with her since you still have a long time until birth, maybe start talking about how you are so excited for the baby to have a wonderful aunt. Maybe even buy a "my favorite is auntie" onesie. Good luck!

There has to be more to the story. Did you make the announcement at her wedding/birthday party/engagment party/etc? Have you had a strained relationship before?

I agree there has to be more. Also has she had issues ttc, maybe she just lost a baby.

Wait... your SIL accused you of having an attention disorder like ADD? Or do you mean that she accused you of being an attention whore? Those are two totally different accusations. If it's the first, I'd say it probably has absolutely nothing to do with your pregnancy announcement.
I'm confused, too. Is there a history here? Is your SIL a drama queen? Did you step on her moment with your announcement? Does she have a history of needing to be the center of attention?
If it's a one off with no history there, just a newly-pregnant woman excited about her pregnancy, your husband needs to step up and say, "Hey, look, my wife was really excited about her pregnancy and she wanted to share the news. It's a really big deal for us. I'm sorry you feel slighted by our news, but we would appreciate it if you got on board and were happy for us."

Um. I don't get it.
Anyways, I guess I would just tell dh to handle it since she's his sister. If it were my dh, he would tell her to eff off.
