How far along are you? EDD? 6w1d - EDD 9/5

How are you feeling/symptoms: still feeling pretty good. Fatigue is typically the only thing I experience in first tri. I've been extremely lucky to never have had morning sickness (so far!) but I do wish my boobs would get a little bigger! I always get a little jealous when I hear people mention that symptom.

Doing anything baby related today? Nope.

Rave/Rant/Randoms: I woke up with a headache and sore throat this morning and it also snowed overnight so I decided to work from home today. It's been a nice day working from my couch!

We have one chihuahua named Bam. He is 9 years old and loves to snuggle with us. He's currently cuddled up next to me on the couch.

How far along are you? 6 weeks today! (9/6)

How are you feeling/symptoms? Feeling good. I'm starting to get tired now, but I had some pretty good energy through the day. It's kind of starting to freak me out that I'm doing pretty well.

Doing anything baby related today? Nope

Rave/Rant/Randoms? I went in for a health evaluation to get money off our monthly insurance cost. When they weighed me I was 6 lbs heavier since Friday....WTF?!? I'm convinced their scale was off. I'm going to use my scale tomorrow morning. I haven't even been eating much. I hate these screenings, I always come out feeling bad about myself.

GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? No, maybe we'll eventually get a dog.

How far along are you? EDD? 6 weeks today! EDD September 6th

How are you feeling/symptoms: Queasy and tired but nothing too bad. Boobs were super sore yesterday.

Doing anything baby related today? TB, reading some more of Mayo Clinic and What to Expect When You're Expecting. I'm a nerd.

Rave/Rant/Randoms: My second beta hcg came back at 30k! It was 13k 4 days prior so I am excited things are looking good in the hood.

Questions for the group? Did anyone else save their ultrasound photo if they've had an early scan? I had one last week and though it was just the gestational sac I saved the photo in my wallet.

GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? Share a photo or a little about them! I have a labradoodle who is my love. She brings so much light into my life. Don't know what I would do without her!

How are you feeling/symptoms: fine. Perfectly fine. My breasts aren't even tender anymore. Although I am EXHAUSTED. So I will take that as a good sign because I'm a nervous wreck. I just feel like my symptoms are slowly going away and I am convinced I'll get bad news at my scan in 2 weeks

Doing anything baby related today? Just this! We've been talking names for a the last few days so that's exciting

Rave/Rant/Randoms: I've been so tired.. I fell asleep last night after work until 730pm. Then went to sleep at 11pm... then slept solidly through 3 alarms and woke up an hour late for work. I can't get enough sleep! Ugh. Like I said tho, taking it as a good sign because I have zero symptoms

Questions for the group? Is everyone as paranoid as me? It's so bad.

How far along are you? EDD? 6 weeks today WHOOP WHOOP! 9/6

How are you feeling/symptoms: Great! Boobs a little tender, frequent bathroom runs, and when I go a little too long without eating, I feel groggy (but I felt the same way I before I was ktfu.)

Doing anything baby related today? Took my 6 week photo today. Retook it like 5 times though because holy bloat! I swear I look so much further along. In public, I TOTALLY let out all hang out...but in my pics, I like to tighten up a little so that (when I actually get it) the bump will be more obvious.

Rave/Rant/Randoms: Words can't describe the smell in the halls of the the middle school I work at at the end of the day. I had to speed walk out the building today because I almost lost it. Smelly preteens

@mom2adoodle yes! Pretty much everyone in my family does. We have 12, my parents have about that, my sister has meat chickens and 6 egg hens, and my ILs have a wopping 60!

We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Two of our furbabies are in my avatar pic! (The black one and the blonde one.) The black one is a lab/shepherd mix, and the blonde is a Great Pyrenees mix. LOVE my babes!

Doing anything baby related today? I slipped and told my principal I was pregnant....whoops

Rave/Rant/Randoms: Once again, I want to kill my husband...he's acting like he's the exhausted pregnant one...I work full-time at a very draining job, come home, do laundry, cook, do dishes, bathe our daughter, and he basically just lays on the couch because "he's tired"...tonight I will be stabbing him in the eye if it happens again...

Questions for the group? How strict do you follow eating rules? Runny eggs? Medium Rare steak? Just realized everything I will have to give up again and it's making me depressed...

@noelani42 I've been wondering the same thing about the "under cooked" food. I've been eating beef a tiny bit more cooked, but still kind of pink. And I've still been eating eggs over easy. I'm curious to hear about what others say!

How far along are you? EDD? 6w3d. EDD 9/3/16.

How are you feeling/symptoms: Tired. I caught a cold or something from DH, so I've got a scratchy, sore throat, too. Mainly just feeling tired and a little queasy, though. And having some cramping/stabbing/pinching on my left side, same as I have the whole time.

Doing anything baby related today? Nope.

Rave/Rant/Randoms: Family drama and disappointment (on my end). Nothing major and nothing that surprises me. But still irritating.

Questions for the group? Not today.

GTKY: Do you have any fur babies? Share a photo or a little about them! We have four inside cats (Mojo, our "daughter", Raven, Belladonna [Raven's mother] and Charlie [Mo's half-brother]) and two feral cats that we take care of outside (Psycho, a solid black, fat little munchkin, and the nameless grey cat that we just call "the grey"; they're Mojo's aunt and grandma respectively).

Mo was adopted when she was 5 weeks old (we took her in after finding her on our deck during a thunderstorm). Raven and Bella were adopted from a shelter when he was about 8 weeks old and she was a couple of years old. Charlie was another stray that we took in when he was a year or two old (we think he was someone's pet that was abandoned). Raven's black with a white patch on his chest, Bella's a tabby with a white chest, feet and face markings and Mo and Charlie are both standard tabbies.

This is Mo when she was 5 weeks old (she still looks like a kitten even though she's grown now, but I don't have any more recent pictures of her on my computer):

@mom2adoodle I just had an early US today and was wondering the same thing! Im around 5 weeks so it's just the gestational sac as well. Think I'll keep mine at home because I'm a bit absent minded lately and I don't need to be leaving it around anywhere to accidentally let the cat out of the bag!

Just found out at my appointment today that I'm much closer to 5 weeks rather than the 6+4 that I thought I was.

How are you feeling/symptoms:
I've been so worried because many of my symptoms have decreased or gone away these past few days. I started having brown spotting on Thursday so it added to my panic. I've been to the ER and OB since and am waiting for more results/time.

Yes!
We have my Ozzy, an 11 year old terrier mix who I've had since he was a baby. He's quite grumpy and I'm a bit worried about how he'll respond to a little person around. He had a hard enough time having the husband join us when we started dating!

And we also have Isabela (Isa) who is a 4 year old pit bull mix. We rescued her from a kill shelter a little over a year ago and she is the most loving cuddly dog I've ever met. To a fault sometimes, like when it would be nice to have the bed to myself! She adores children so i think she'll be excited with an addition.

How are you feeling/symptoms: Consistently nauseous but never actually sick (not sure if that makes it better or worse), super tired all the time, absolutely no appetite. Missing the big boobs from my last pregnancy, haha.

Doing anything baby related today? Bumping...making a list of the items we need for #2!

Rave/Rant/Randoms: First appointment is tomorrow! I can't wait...even though I know it's not going to be an 'exciting' appt (no us).

@SDSwenson I'm not paranoid with this pregnancy like I was with DD. I was a wreck when I was pregnant with her. I tend to be an anxious person in general but looking back I know my level of paranoia/anxiety were not normal...be it from hormones or first time jitters or what. I'm thankful that I'm not affected like that this time around. It was crippling. So I feel for you. Hang in there!

How are you feeling/symptoms: Soo tired. Napping is a must most days. Nauseous but no throwing up yet! And my goodness sore boobs! I forgot how bad taking my bra off would hurt at the end of the day.

Questions for the group? Has anyone had problems with bleeding/spotting? I've been having some brownish blood today. It seems to have gone away now but I'm still pretty worried. I've been googling like crazy but nothing I read is making me worry less. I still have all my normal pregnancy symptoms which I read is good but I don't remember this happening when I was pregnant with DS.

@CindyR29 I have been having the same. Keeps me worried but getting betas drawn and talking to the OB has given me some reassurance that it can be completely normal. Have you tried any of that?

@CindyR29 I had a tiny bit of brown spotting Monday and yesterday until the afternoon. Called my midwife group and they asked if I had intercourse before it started (I had the night before.) They said its old blood and normal, and shouldn't last more than a day or so, but if it's red and/or accompanied by cramps to call back. And not to have intercourse while spotting.

My blood sugar has been down a lot. Not that I monitor it. But bc I've felt shaky and hungry like as soon as I get out of bed. Or through the day it will suddenly hit me that I'm starving. I try to snack a lot on dry cheerios.

Doing anything baby related today?
Nope. Just thinking about how much different things are going to be. Even simple family trips.

Rave/Rant/Randoms:
DF's libido is annoying me, lol! I seriously asked if he has a newfound fetish with me being pregnant. He looked at me with the weirdest look lol. Between work, dinner and getting a 4 year old ready for bed, I'm pretty tired. And adding in the pregnancy fatigue, it's difficult to get in the mood.

@CindyR29 I've also had the same issue. My OB said the same the other ladies are suggesting, just be aware of it and make sure it doesn't turn to heavy flow or red blood accompanied by severe pain. Hope you feel a little relief from everyone's responses, hope to hear updates!

Thanks ladies! Your responses have made me feel better for sure. I'm still feeling all my usual pregnancy symptoms and no red blood or heavy flow so I'm taking those as good signs. I've been so tired lately I can't even remember if my DH and I had sex before the spotting started but that might be it. I called my midwife today but I won't be in to see her until next week

I'm gonna go buy another pregnancy test tomorrow and will be testing Friday morning. Hoping that will put my worries to rest until my appointment.

How far along are you? EDD? Approx 5 weeks? And I think early September (I don't have a dating U/S until later this month)

How are you feeling/symptoms: Pretty good overall. When running the other day, my boobs felt a bit more heavy than normal. Otherwise, I'd say I feel different, but not bad. It's hard to explain, a bit crampy and feeling a bit like I have gas, but not in a bad way at all. Just different.

Doing anything baby related today? I read the first trimester of the pregnancy books I bought back in September, so I'll prob rescan those. I also want to set up some sort of printable chart to track my food to make sure I'm getting the right amount of everything (at least while I still feel good and can eat).

Rave/Rant/Randoms: No complaints so far. Just anxious to get to the first dr. appointment.

I have two pups who I absolutely adore. They are both rescue dogs.

@LizC216 - I had the same thought last night - about feeling so good that it's kind of scary. Especially since my dr. isn't able to get me in for bloodwork, so I'm just going off my BFPs. I'm concerned I'm going to get the the first appointment and get bad news.
@noelani42 - I'm so NOT looking forward to giving up runny eggs and medium rare steaks! I just noticed eggs in the grocery store that are pasteurized - I'm wondering if those are safe/safer to eat a little runny? Otherwise I'll probably stick pretty close to the rules.

@noelani42 - Last time around I was somewhat careful, but not overly so with the food list. Since I'm a vegetarian I didn't have to worry about deli meats, tuna, undercooked meat etc. But when baking, I'd often still have a tiny taste of the raw dough (maybe more out of habit than consciously doing it), and I still ate soft cheese but did my best to make sure that they were pasteurized (if buying from a grocery store, not so much if at a restaurant).
