Headaches everyday same time...

So I've been getting headaches every single day around the same time around 2:00 right after I eat lunch I usually get them and it's like a squeezing pain in the center of my forehead. I've mentioned it to my midwife multiple times and she keeps giving me the same answer: drink more water. I drink water all day long at least a gallon a day maybe more my urine is completely clear like she told me to make sure it is. I feel like dehydration isn't the cause at all but other then that she just says she doesn't know what's causing it, so my next step is to request to see a doctor for it since I've seen two different midwives and both say same thing. I wake up feeling great then it hits me at 2 like clock work. Ice on my forehead relieves the pain temporarily. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? Any tips for it or ideas on what could be causing it? Thanks in advanced

I am in the exact same boat, unfortunately, but mine start every evening. At my last OB appt I brought it up but he didn't seem overly concerned & also told me to drink more water. I'll be mentioning it again at my next appointment since they aren't letting up, & some days completely impact my life.
I've been alternating between a warm magic bag on my neck (sometimes I lay it on the top of my head, too), or a cold face mask. They always help in the moment, but like you said, it's temporary. On nights that they're really bad I take a tylenol & go to bed...sometimes sleep is the only relief I can get.
I wish I had other suggestions, but I'm struggling right along with you.

ETA....have you been drinking caffeine? It can help, too.

  • Do you keep track of what you eat? Maybe that could be the trigger. Or do you work somewhere with overhead lighting? I know the lighting at my old job gave me bad headaches and I occasionally get them in my office from the lighting. It could be caused by using a computer, too. Try to keep track of things you do the same each day before the headache starts to try and narrow down what could be causing it .Could be tension headaches, too, you may be tense all day then that's when it catches up to you.

  • You may need a little bit of caffeine. Have you been drinking any?

  • I drink a usually one or two cups of tea per day one in morning and one before I go to work. I work in evening starting at 3 everyday so it's awful timing lol. And no I'm registered behavior technician so I work with autistic children in their homes so it's just normal lighting. At my house I don't have a lot of lights on I open the windows and let sunlight light up the house during the day. Sometimes my cup of tea helps. I gave up coffee when I got pregnant so I haven't drank it since Beginning of October.

  • @Jerseygirl9090 I also work with autistic children (I teach at a school for children with exceptionalities)...maybe the stress of the job is a trigger for our headaches? I know some days can be especially challenging.

  • 2 pm is my usual crash time.  A snack or a little caffeine helps me.

  • @DeePaddy24 that's what I was wondering if it's from work/stress because on weekends I don't get headaches at 2:00 or if I do they are no where near as bad.

@PressLove some tea usually helps me a little bit some days I forgot to make my tea or I don't have enough time before work and those days my headache doesn't go away.
