Severe bloat following ER-Any tips?

Hi ladies! I had my ER last Friday. I was SO bloated before but thought the stomach swelling would go down after they retrieved my 21 eggs. Days after I still look like I'm about 5 months pregnant. I can't button my pants. I'm uncomfortable. I didn't experience any other hyperstimulation symptoms (thank goodness). Has anyone had this happen? Any tips on how to get rid of it? I've bloated a lot from previous IUI cycles but it's usually from the progesterone suppositories following IUI. I went to acupuncture to see if that would help and he gave me some herbs I'm taking religiously. No change yet.  I'm not currently taking any meds as my transfer will happen in March. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

  • It will go down in time but my ovaries were still swollen even a month later on the ultrasound. Be sure to drink lots of gatorade. Drank that stuff like crazy afterwards to help. G2 works, too.

  • Ya...  just like @Piperella said, staying hydrated is going to be the most important thing for your body to replenish and recover. Healthy foods are best as well (stay away from anything processed or super greasy). It sucks, I remember, but slowly day by day you should feel better and better. Take care!

  • Thank you @Piperella and @oxinfree . I definitely need to be better with staying hydrated . Sucks because when I feel like crap all I wanna do is eat pizza and processed foods and not work out . I've gotta get my body ready for March though .
